Dodged a Bullet with Rejection of High Speed Rail?

It's basically the situation when an individual is confronted with a reality that is the polar opposite of what he or she THINK reality is. One of those moments that make you question how you formed your opinion on something.

To me, the mark of a good, honest person is the one who comes to that moment and remains curious as opposed to clamming up and refusing to believe reality.
