Personally, I hate amendments because the wording can get so convoluted in some of them, you can't tell if a no vote is for or against the amendment. What also bothers me is the wording of them can be twisted by the legislature or courts to thwart the intention of the amendment. In addition to the wording of the amendments, I would like to see a list of people and organizations and their position (for or against) and possibly a financial impact on our tax dollars, should the amendment pass. On their face, to reasonable people, some sound like a good idea. When analyzed and the actual wording is looked at closely, you may find that lawyers and courts can find all kinds of ways to block the intent of the amendment. Some, if followed, can have severe unintended consequences.
