I guess those folks never thought of how the LEADERS of Russia, China and the other communist countries live. Only the common folks get nothing. The LEADERS still have all the bennies and goodies they want. Wake up and smell the roses OWS folks, you are being used and think that the LEADERS are looking out for you. Think again.

I went to Occupy Boston today to see what was going on with my own eyes.

Examples of what I saw..

- One (I repeat ONE) Anarchist Communist (ifyou can believe that) with a table full of propaganda. Among the things he wanted banned were PRISONS. Needless to say, he wasn't getting a lot of discussion.

- Cops talking, in a friendly manner, to some of the protestors.

- One loon carrying a Che Guevara flag.

- One of the scheduled talkers who was trying to draw a comparison between this protest and Martin Luther protesting against the Catholic Church.

That was the looney part. Considerably in the minority.

What else did I see?

College kids worried about getting a job and how they'd pay off their student loans.

Veterans supporting the withdrawal of troops.

Lots of signs comparing the money spent on Iraq with various other political causes.

Lots of signs quoting the Constitution - especially about the right to free and peaceful assembly. (Many that quoted former Boston mayor Flynn espousing the idea of getting rid of the protestors)

People cleaning up.

People with opposing views having intelligent debates.

Some pretty clever signs ("I'll believe corporations are people when Texas executes one" - "This grass is worth $150,000 - What's the First Ammendment worth to you?" - "Some will rob you with a six-shooter - Some with a fountain pen")

Plenty of typical sloganeering signs.

What I did NOT see that the news supposedly said..

- The protest occupied one small park at the south end of the Rose Kennedy Greenway - NOT the entire Greenway as some said.

- The "spit on a Coast Guard" incident happened at North Station. This is nearly 2 miles away from the protest.

- The homeless have apparently been cleared away from the protest. They tried to invade and make trouble when they heard about the free food.

Aren't the Occupy Wall Street protestors guaranteed the same First Amendment rights as you are? Don't the Occupy Wall Street protesters have the right to call your Tea Party "white power Nazi-loving scumbags" just as you have called it to them - and I am sure some have done so.

What would you say if you found out that some of the Occupy Wall Street protestors had concealed weapons on them and they were legal because they had a Florida CCW permit they had obtained by mail order?

Occupiers have every right to say what they want. And they have. And they exposed themselves to what they really are. A bunch of no good do nothing bunch of human waste. Skin heads,communists, socialist, anti-american anarchists. They are what's wrong with the USA.

Nothing as long as they are legally allowed to carry. No matter what, all the amendments are for all citizens. Get over the mail order CCW permits from Florida. It is not going to change, to much money involved. Find something else to harp on, thank you.

Please get your terminology right. Fascism is the complete rejection of the individual in favor of the state. This puts fascism to the far left on the political scale.

Figmo, I am glad to see you agree all Constitutional rights are for all citizens. No, I was not harping on the CCW permits - just wanted to see what might be said.

You are probably right about too much money being generated from the CCW permits mail order business but I have scheduled a meeting with Florida Rep. O'Toole on the matter to possibly work out a change in that as well as re-qualifications.

Let me get this straight, Florida Rep. O'Toole and our own Buggie are going to hammer out a change together?

I don't know if we are going to hammer out a change or not but she appears interested in a change in the law. We are going to discuss it together and see what can be introduced into legislation. Isn't dong something about a situation better than just kvetching about it on a political forum?

Maybe you should try being part of a solution sometime.

buggyone, ain't never gonna happen with the mail order permits. Way to much money involved. Now you might have a chance on the re-qual part. That would really help all the insturctors make more money, pay more taxes, so that might have a chance.

Just out of curiosity what would be your training requirements for the re-qual? Would you have them do the same qual as when it is first issued. Before the meeting, you really need to take the CCW class to see what goes on and what the requirements are. Going into a meeting to get a law changed cold is not the way to get anything done. You need to know what takes place in the first place to make changes to the second place.

Also get a copy of the current statute that covers all the requirements for concealed carry and also what is required to become an insturctor for the concealed carry. Two very different statutes. Talking from a positioin of knowledge when getting something changed is helpful for your cause. You might also want to get information on how many Florida Out of State permit holders have been arrested for FIREARMS violations only, they are the only ones that will count and how many permits have been issued. That will tell you if there is a problem.

No I will not help you with this cause and I do have all that information. Find it just like I did. You will be disappointed in the numbers because it really is a non-problem.
