Default Read The May SECO News

Like most people, I normally throw out the inserts that come with my bills without even glancing at them. He sees, "that the nation is on a collision course that will result in rapidly escalating energy rates and diminishing service reliability."

He pointed out that President Obama recently acknowledged, "that a cap and trade program would indeed cause American consumers to see enormous increases in their electric bills. Some have estimated that these increases will be approximately $250 per month. Jim Duncan, the CEO of SECO who wrote this piece says that conservatively electricity in Florida will see a $50 per month increase.

Part of the News explains how insignificant a part of the atmosphere is made up of CO2 and other 'greenhouse gases.'

If you have already thrown the insert out, go to secoenergy.com and click on the Our Energy Future icon. Cap and Trade is a very real threat to the United States economy and is being advocated largely by those who see an opportunity for huge revenues going to the government – IOW a huge tax increase.

It gets even more weird. What about in the winter when you want to retain heat. Doesn’t that mean you’d use more energy to keep your house or car warm?

These people have completely lost their minds.

"It was a geo-engineering scheme that was "completely benign" and would keep buildings cooler and reduce energy use from air conditioning, as well as reflecting sunlight back away from the Earth."

Default Overheard at a recent cocktail party.....

Mr. McGuire was overheard giving Mrs. Robinson's young friend Ben, some hush hush advise about the future in the world of business.

Mr. McGuire: I just want to say one word to you - just one word.

Ben: Yes sir.

Mr. McGuire: Are you listening?

Ben: Yes I am.

Mr. McGuire: 'Bikinis.'

Ben: Exactly how do you mean?

Mr. McGuire: There's a great future in..bikinis. Think about it. Global warming? Will you think about it?

Ben: Yes I will.

Mr. McGuire: Shh! Enough said. That's a deal.

I know this sounds rather simplistic but I remember reading that the whole global warming phenomenon can be attributed to the sun. They say it is affecting the other planets in our solar system, too.
Wouldn't that be a humbling thing for mankind? His arrogance thinks he can control mother nature...but would not stand a chance in h*ll against the big yellow thing in the sky.
I'm only kidding...please put that rock down, now. LOL

Ironically, most of us moved to Florida to find more "warming"......

I guess you just can't please everyone....especially if some are making money on the topic.

This is another take on the subject...

"U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher was in a froth, and his audience loved it.

The California Republican was talking about global warming and could barely contain his disgust.

"Al Gore has been wrong all along!" Rohrabacher yelled into the microphone. "This is outrageous! All of this is wrong! The people who have stifled this debate have an agenda that is just frightening!"

http://hamptonroads.com.nyud.net/200...cs-say-meeting

"Bast acknowledged that the conference was hurriedly organized, and moved from New York City to Washington, to counteract proposals from President Barack Obama for a "cap-and-trade" program aimed at fighting global warming by drastically limiting carbon emissions.

These skeptics, including Rohrabacher, contended that global warming is a liberal-inspired hoax, intended to wrest control of world energy policy and wealth from Western countries so the United Nations can have its way.

To them, liberty, capitalism and the U.S. economy are at stake."

I pretty much did simply a cut and paste thing here as I am surely no expert on this subject, but found the reference to cap and trade etal to be very interesting !

Temperatures here(Massachusetts) for the rest of the week are going to be in the 50's. It is approaching the middle of June and we haven't put our jackets away yet. Al Gore was unavailable for comments.

Oh he is available...

"Former Vice President Al Gore Pushes Climate Change Bill in Congress

As Congress wrestles with politically explosive issues surrounding climate change and energy, Gore is simultaneously everywhere and nowhere.

He's worked the phones to squeak a bill through a key legislative committee. He's serving as an informal counsel to allies on Capitol Hill and inside the Obama administration, as they seek to solve a complicated political equation."

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=7777697&page=1

And then, he will don his cape again and.....

"According to a report from CNN on Monday, the Obama administration has responded to the sentencing of two American journalists to 12 years in a North Korean labor camp on Monday by suggesting that either former Vice President Al Gore or Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico could travel to Pyongyang to negotiate their release. The two journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, were working for Current TV, a San Francisco-based media company co-founded by Mr. Gore.

CNN reported on Monday that the two high-profile names had already been proposed to the North Korean government:"

Default Global warming is a distraction for we the people as well as the

POTUS.

We the people need to hold his feet to the fire on that which got him elected......not some political lark like global warming.

We are letting him dance around too mant other subjects which he nor anyone else can do anything about.

Put all the resources, as scarce as they are supposed to be on the economy!!!!!!!

The economy is man made. The global temperature is going to go where ever it is going to go just like it has for centuries......without human intervention.

Fix the economy.......JOB #1!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree but they need to expand on this scheme of "global warming" to raise taxes and make Al Gore and his cronies rich. Once they raise taxes they are going to "fix" the greatest health care system on planet earth.

Most of the "global warming" would go away, if only they'd stop talking. The "hot air" is killing us!
