It's absolutely ludicrous to compare the greatness that was Ronald Reagen to the complete failure that is Barack Hussein Obama.
affair? That was an impeachable offense by the way. A touch more troublesome than lying about a sexual relationship between consenting adults.

Default Bucco, Read

the prior post from an admitted conservative who frequently criticizes Obama and Clinton. He refers to Ronald Reagan's greatness. Just trying to remind him that his attacks on Obama and Clinton are hypocritical to say the least. Sorry if you can't grasp the point.

This has nothing to do with Reagan's handling of the economic crisis of his time that resulted in the rapid growth of the private sector economy. Since you could not refute this fact you resorted to a cheap shot on a great man by citing investigations by a Democrat Legislature that never resulted in any charges being brought.

Are we forgetting that the Democrats in Congress in 1981 also passed huge spending increases and then blamed Reagan for the ballooning deficit - blaming it all on military spending when the increase to the DoD was just a fraction of the increases on social programs?

It's a lot harder to play the 'cut taxes and spur growth enough to kill the deficit' when we've already cut taxes significantly, increased domestic spending (especially non-discretionary), have worse economic underpinnings, and increased class warfare to say nothing of hyper-partisan politics.

Default Isn't it amazing how a thread can just sort of wander

off and take on a new life all it's own?
Not complaining, I am enjoying the partisan jousting.
