Isn't it interesting that all the uber-conservatives that are trying to turn this country into a plutocracy - see Grover Norquist, Sheldon Adelson, Bob Perry, Karl Rove - never got elected to anything in their life?

You are probably correct that it was a poor attempt but you did recognize it as sarcasm. I continue to believe that Team Obama, including his media groupies rationalize voters disappointment in Obama's performance because they are racist and hence have a biased and unfair opinion of him. "poor white trash, trailer trash, ethnic slurs all serve the same purpose no matter who uses them. So as a memeber of a race, nationality etc you ought to make it clear that you will not tolerate ethnic slurs sterotyping, etc. Obama's beer summit was an embarassment. It was tantamunt of a CEO of an International company getting involved in a dispute between two file clerks. But I am not surprised because Obama likes playing at being a President like flying in the big jet, etc instead of being a President. Buggyone remember it was Obama who began his 2008 campaign with something like "people will talk about me being different than anyone who campaign for.......something to that effect and intended to blunt the fact that he was black. It was Obama and his team that have used race to their advantage and then like you utilize disingenious responses claiming indignation that race is being mentioned. Personal Best Regards: |

Obama's Beer Summit. Ah, yes...... The Rose Garden party Obama had as a photo opp and to appease the police whom he said "acted stupidly".......while the young lady who called 911 because of a possible break-in at Obama's prof's house was trying to salvage the last shreds of her reputation being destroyed by Obama-approved labeling of Ms. Whalen as a "racist", and while enduring death threats.
CAMBRIDGE – She was just trying to get lunch. But when an elderly woman stopped her on Ware Street earlier this month and explained that someone appeared to be breaking into a nearby home, Lucia Whalen used her cellphone to make the call that led to the arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. and spawned a national controversy about race relations. Since then, Whalen has been called a racist and has become a target of scorn by those who suggested she would have never made the call had two white men been seen struggling to open what had been a broken front door. The 40-year-old daughter of Portuguese immigrants said she has even been threatened. In her first public comments, Whalen today contradicted a police report by the arresting officer, saying she had never told Cambridge Police Sergeant James Crowley that the men were black. She said she barely talked to Crowley. “The only words I exchanged were [that] I was the 911 caller, and he pointed to me and said, ‘Stay right there,’” she said during a press conference at Danehy Park in Cambridge. “Nothing more than that.” Her comments came as the veteran white police officer and the prominent black professor of African-American studies prepared to meet President Obama, who ratcheted up the controversy during a press conference last week by saying Cambridge police "acted stupidly." The president later expressed regret for his words and invited Gates and Crowley to the White House to meet him at 6 p.m. Thursday for a beer, hoping to turn the case into a "teachable moment." "But events in the past week raise concern that race is being inserted into the 2012 campaign, particularly as a means to slander those who attack the president.
Left-leaning members of the mainstream media on numerous times in recent days have made race a part of the political equation, with many raising questions about whether conservatives are racially motivated in their treatment of President Obama. The introduction of racial issues threatens to create a new and pernicious element of divisiveness that could create racial tensions during the campaign and induce a dangerous racial backlash after it, no matter who wins. Following Daily Caller reporter Neil Munro’s interruption of President Obama last week in the Rose Garden, there were numerous suggestions in the media – including from veteran reporter Sam Donaldson – that Munro had been motivated by racism, without a shred of evidence indicating this might be the case. On Friday night, HBO host Bill Maher said conservative journalist Matt Drudge was animated by racism. Drudge’s website, The Drudge Report, frequently links to articles critical of Obama. On Sunday, a panel of mostly black reporters were asked by host Roland Martin whether black leaders were doing enough to defend Attorney General Eric Holder, an assumption that race should be a factor in whether to back an attorney general accused of numerous shortcomings and potentially illegal actions. On Tuesday, in a remark that was hardly noticed – perhaps because such suggestions are now becoming commonplace – MSNBC host Christopher Matthews asked former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown whether House Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa’s treatment of Holder was “ethnic.” Brown quickly said it was, prompting Matthews to comment that some Republican House members “talk down to the president and his friends.” Race Threatens to Become a Weapon in the Campaign | The Blog on Obama: White House Dossier What in the world is going on......silence from the right but none the less. |
