there are 65,000 troops in Afghanastan approx

There are 125,000 troops in Iraq approx

3,000 are presently earmarked to Afghanastan by end of this year.

There is a substantial reduction scheduled in Iraq early next year and there should not be much stress in fullfilling the request IF the President wants to go that way !
