Check with Rafael Edward Cruz and his dad, the commie, for some positive comments.
So, you are going to hold what a person did as a juvenile against him? Not very liberal of you. He was 14 years old when he was imprisoned in Cuba for being a revolutionary. He fled Cuba at age 18. Dude, he was a teenager. Obama smoked dope all the way through high school, was mentored from a child to the time he went off to college by a communist and continued to use drugs, including cocaine through college. And he received most of his campaign funding from Soros, another communist. You didn't hold that against him when you voted for him. So, get a life.

I have no intention of voting for Cruz unless he wins the nomination, but I figured that since you are lacking in information, I would educate you. Unless of course, you wish to admit your bias.

In defense of Obama - nyti.ms/1Kjln9W

But, back to Bernie.

In defense of Bernie's Socialism - bit.ly/1Kjly5l

I'd like to suggest Capitalism is the problem now. It worked well as we've progressed through numerous economic revolutions. Before the agricultural revolution, 90% were involved with farming, today it's probably less than 9%. The industrial revolution created new jobs and fuel prosperity. Capitalism managed all this very well.

We're now in the Digital revolution and it'll be different. It explains the last few decades of stagnant wages with all the rewards from productivity improvements going to the 1% (as Bernie says). Everywhere I look I see a future of limit opportunity for human skills and labor. Consider self-driving vehicles. Truck Driver is the #1 job in the country, they are all vulnerable. Clearly, the future will be Uber-like companies providing Transportation-as-a-Service. Ultimately, we won't own private vehicles. With transportation available on-demand, it won't be cost effective to own tons of steel-on-wheels, just sitting around 23 hours a day. The implications are incredible. For example, manufacturers will need a new business model for fewer sales and no dealerships. Mechanics and service stations will be part of the transportation companies. Existing mass transit gets replaced. Big city parking garages? On and on....

Autonomous vehicles are just one example. I can't even imagine the potential for 3D Printing & Production. Given all that, I think it's fair to extrapolate the future of Capitalism as an economic model with all wealth ending in the hands of an elite few. As Bernie Tweeted (bit.ly/1KjlEtE), we're well along this path, the wealthiest 14 saw their wealth increase by $11,000,000,000 each over the last few years.

This is the final leg of Capitalism. The end result is full economic control and ownership by a limited few. The distinction from Communism is that Communist control is a single dictator. That's my argument for Bernie's Socialism. We're all in this together, Socialism provides a foundation for a free Democratic society.

You mean the system that allowed Clinton to violate every security guideline with her psrsonal server?
The one that cannot even tell that she was breaking the law?
The same one that did not put up a flag when....hey guys where is the State Department communications going to or coming from?
The digital age that allows top security documents to be mis handled? With no traceability.

BS!

As for the last highlighted sentence.....double dose of high potency BS!

These kids today, do not know how wrong socialism really is. Or how it has failed and is failing in other countries. They call themselves progressives, ha,ha, and embrace an old ideology that makes slaves of everyone but the rich. These kids are so dependent, thanks to parents who have paid their way all their lives. Now they think they deserve to be coddled. Little do they know. Too bad we can't take them all overseas to live in example countries that they think are so cool. I've lived half my life overseas and have yet to find anything over there that I would want here....and yes that is including their health care. They may like it, but they haven't used our system.

Wow. That was very thought provoking. I don't understand the responses. Maybe this area is limited to political rhetoric. But as a sci-fi buff, I'm thinking of the future and realize nobody works in the syfy future. Kirk & Spock never got a paycheck. They just lived. I wonder if we'll get there.

I realize that they legalized it, but maybe you should cut back on the wacky weed.
