from a guy who I actually listen to and admire....George Will...and before folks dismiss him as a some political shill....he soundly criticized the last administration....had harsh words for Palin...and McCain.

It really is a great read and covers all the whirly board action in our capital and the craziness of what is happening.

I think their haste also reflects the environment in D.C. where, if anything sits around long enough, it dies. *Nothing* seems to "grow legs" in the District anymore. If you don't get it passed - whatever the "it" might be - sure enough the opponents will eventually kill it, no matter the value.
