"If we ignore the past we are doomed to repeat it". However this warning means nothing to progressives because they are too busy re-writing history so that reflects their ideological Utopian view. The decision to enact ACA was the progressives alone and they own it. The Iran deal is the progressives alone and they own it. The construction of our democracy provided for the separation of powers ignored by the Obama Administration. Our nation is a nation of laws not men ignored by the Obama Administration. The nation is deeply divided. the economy has not recovered. Anarchy is replacing the rule of law. The verbal and physical attacks on law enforcement officers is fueled by Obama and Holder. We have lost the respect of the international community and worsen yet our global enemies view us as weak and impotent. The Syrian refugee problem among others is owned by Obama. The Republican Party is not doing their part in applying congressional remedies to stop Obama's lawlessness, Planned Parenthood's assault on defenseless babies, etc. I especially take aim at Senate majority Leader McConnell and Speaker Boehner...and I am reminded of the old saw "no guts no glory" There are sufficient laws to deal with the immigration problem. what we don't have are political leaders with a spine. Frankly I am sick of the lot of them because its like we are all going down in a flaming airplane and this political class are at the controls fumbling away like keystone kops Personal Best Regards: |

The past SS have no idea of the details any more than our current congressional representatives. It does not matter what the other European conyries think because all they know it is a good deal for the specifically and do not want the nay sayers in America to upset the apple cart, hence all one would heat from yhem is why it should go forward. The people/congress that are supposed to be for or against it do not know what is in the bill. They are being pressured by Obama deal making. Because they vote for it does not mean they have any undertsnading of what is in the agreement or the consequences. They know they have heard something from Obama and his arm twist team that meets their needs, hence they fall in line to support the agreement...... So please don't insult us by trying to sell the validity based on political deals and nations who only stand to gain by going forward. Just get on the bus. We will let you know sometime during the trip where we are going and how it costs. The only folks who gain are the people who make the buses. |

Going forward is a good thing. It is called the progress of a country. We certainly do not want to regress or go backwards. |

You messed up by using three SS. As far as the European community is concerned, they sold out. They all want something out of the deal, like selling arms and energy to Iran. The other middle Eastern countries lose the most and got sold out. The US gained nothing from the deal. Only an idiot on an acid trip would think this is a good deal. Nope, a bad deal is not better than no deal.

Listen to the entire Colin Powell interview on Meet The Press. This is a former Secretary of State under a Republican president. This is the man that went to the United Nations, and had to sell bad intelligence concerning the second Iraq War to the world. Unlike Cheney, he isn't still trying to justify the decision to go to war with Iraq.
He goes into detail why it is a good deal based upon the deal. Is your hatred for Obama so deep that nothing will change your mind on anything he does? If it is, you are the problem. |

One current and two former Secretaries of State endorse the Iran nuclear deal. The European Community supports it.
The posters on this chat room are mostly against it. I would sooner believe in the capabilities of professionals in the diplomatic sectors than in the capabilities in this area by former insurance salesmen, construction workers, or mid-management employees. You guys were experts in your field. This is not your area of expertise. |

We have lost the respect of the international community. If the Republicans get their way, which they won't, we will be laughing stock on the international community. We will be no better than a baby that cries, when they don't get their way. Do not take my word for it, listen Colin Powell's interview on today's Meet the Press. |

Here's the position of someone who knows more than the usual crowd on this site. (although that really isn't much of an accomplishment) but this person knows a lot more.

But, all foolin' aside, why do YOU think this is a good deal? Because someone smarter than you told you that you should believe it? Did you check it out a bit to see if you really do like it? |

Colin Powell is racially biased. Any former military retiree that could endorse Obama not once, but twice did so because he is black. There is no other reason, considering what Obama has so blatantly done to this country. I did respect the man when I worked for him. Now, I respect his history, but no longer do I respect his opinion.

If you knew anything about the military, you would realize how ridiculous that comment is. And who said I worked for Powell in the military? Do you really think that the military endorses the anti-American ideology of Obama? Never mind answering, because it would just sound more ridiculous.

No, ridiculous is that statement that Obama has anti-American ideology. That is nothing but nonsense spouted by hate, and it is that simple. |
