This post is a perfect example of how and why great civilizations eventually fall .... too many citizens become fat, dumb and happy. They are fatalistic, negative, and not willing to do any thing to defend what they were lucky enough to inherit ... which in this case means being lucky enough to be born in the U.S.

With all due respect, your defeatism is both pathetic and embarrassing. Good thing you can hide behind "guest"

Maybe consider what your life would be like as a Libyan refugee on a boat to Italy?

No......in fact, YOU sound ready to sacrifice your entire family by demanding that our President and Congress spend their time engaging in discussion and debate on less than pressing issues such as gay rights, women's rights, etc. Their full concentration at this time needs to be on the security of this country and that includes securing our borders. If not, all else could be for not, as we could end up without an economy or even a country to worry about!

Very easy to spot an armchair participant. All one has to do is let them talk and their words betray who and what they really are and as inmportant ARE NOT.

We need to get the draft going again in the USA. We'll need "boots on the ground" after the cruise missiles and drones have done their job. It surprises me that our best trading partner Communist China has no problem cutting deals in the Middle East without one soldier in place. 50% of the oil in Iraq goes to China. We paid for 100% of that oil. "Mission Accomplished".

Yeah, the all volunteer Army. If a kid cannot make it flipping hamburgers, he can join the Army and become an American Sniper. Oh yeah, didn't Kyle want to be a cowboy?

Wow, how insulting to the many families I know who have college educated sons and daughters who have elected to serve their country, voluntarily. That is truly the most ignorant statement that I have read on this forum to date.

Unfortunately for all of us, when a kid joins the Army he has to defend your sorry a** as well as the rest of us.

Actually, I'm in favor of reinstituting the draft. My policy would be to find people like you who hate your country, put you in uniform, and then air-drop you into ISIS territory. If you survive it, you might come back actually appreciating your freedoms.

With due respect to my neighbor who had been a "sniper" in the Army. He has said that in Iraq the Iraqi's are not "into the fight". They prefer to let us fight for them. How long can a war in the Middle East be sustained by the U.S.,if who we are fighting for is not up to the fight?
