Default Juan Williams fired.. finally something we can all agree on.

Finally liberals and conservatives have something we agree upon.. right?
I wonder.. Lets hear it liberals.. even the VIEW ladies agree with me.

Juan was fired for an honest statement that he gets nervous when he is on a plane and sees a person dressed in muslim garb primarily identifying themselves as Muslims. He specifically spoke that we should not be bigots and that we have to deal with feelings.

The people who made that decision to fire him should be FIRED... if not, NPR should be defunded by the US government for this type of political activity, and ever doner should withhold donations until those responsible are gone..

It is time for the New Congress in 2011 to make massive cuts in Federal spending. NPR should be the first to be axed.

Default He just said what 95% of Americans feel

I agree , let's drop the funding for NPR. I've watched Juan Williams for years and I thought he was always fair .

News that George Soros is buying one hundred political “reporters” for National Public Radio (NPR), one waits with bated breath for the left to decry the fact that a famous anti-American leftist is buying and influencing the “news.”

I hate that I now find that I am a bigot because I agree with his statement.

Sigh.

(Not meant to be sarcastic. I am sincere about this )

Is this a bit of good natured sarcasm from the one and only Gracie? You know what Juan Williams said is just common sense and he did say in the same statement that he doesn't feel right about this feeling.

Remember some years ago when Rev. Jesse Jackson was discussing violence he was all over the news because of this quote;

"I hate to admit it, but I have reached a stage in my life that if I am walking down a dark street late at night and I see that the person behind me is white, I subconsciously feel relieved." — Reverend Jesse Jackson

He later said his words were misconstrued, but it was too late. Because of his embarrassment this incident was quickly dropped from news outlets in deference. The point is that Rev. Jackson had a human reaction based on common sense gleaned from human experience.

Mr. Williams has already landed on his feet with a new expanded role in his job on Fox News. He's already better off. He should sue NPR for unlawful termination though. I can't imagine him losing that case.

Update: Apparently Mr. Williams new contract with FOX is for a reported 2 Million Dollars annually. Not too shabby a rebound.

Default Maybe there will be a ground swell in this country to do away

with the concept of political correctness. There is nothing correct involved.
It is a license to not do/say what is true or right or wrong.
It only promotes we the people to be silent to avoid being tagged or name called.
It condones avoiding stating or doing what is right.

Like purging Washington of the establishment, let's get rid of the totally stupid, stifling the truth concept labeled political correctness....there is nothing correct involved...the tool of cowards.

This is what has to stop in this country, on both sides of the aisle...whomever has the most money...

"George Soros just gave them 1.8 million dollars to hire 100 new reporters for NPR right before Mr. Williams’ firing.

George Soros gives money to the TIDES Foundation, which is a Communist organization. He recently helped start the Huffington Post’s new “Investigative Reporting” arm. The Huffington Post is one of the most Liberal, Progressive members of the media in the US. They want to take away our rights to own firearms, they support PETA, and other organizations which are so completely against American values, and it is appalling.

The firing of Juan Williams is a prime example of elitism, and political correctness run amok. Political correctness is ruining the US with the strangulation of civil, open and honest discourse. The conduct of NPR, pandering to George Soros and other Progressives merely showcases their own bias against any opinion other than that which puts America into a subservient position.

And the sad thing about this specific time is that Soros, who is about as close as you can get to a communist, is pretty much the source of most of the Democratic parties money. If you dont think he pulls strings...well, you are not reading !

Bucco, George Soros just gave a $1 million donation to the left-wing Media Matters, a self-described progressive research and information center. The organization Media Matters is devoted to bringing down Glenn Beck and the Fox News Channel by targeting people who pay for commericials to be aired on the network.
