Banks were forced to make loans for home mortgage loans and installment credit for autos et al essentially without any consideration for the ability of the borrower to repay . I was in " the first row " as this played out and it was easy to see it coming just as you would a gathering summer storm . The whole mess just blew up when Bush was in office especially as the 5 year no interest , low payment mortgages repriced and the mortgagees could not make their payments . |

Lets not forget Obamma's role in the recent depression, taking care of the banks and unions...rewriting laws for the General Motors restructuring that benefited the union at the expense of the Senior Bond holders. Unprecedented wealth transfer.

Wait, wait...please wait while the libtards get their talking points updated. How can they possibly dispute facts. Oh wait, they can just divert to another subject. Yes, that will work.

Can you explain how Clinton left office as one of the most popular presidents in modern history (65%) and George W Bush left office as the most unpopular in history (22%)? How could Obama not look good when he is bookended by the worst president in US history and followed by the least popular president-elect in history? |

KellyAnn Conway has had the most thankless job in politics. Ever since she was hired, all she has done is follow Trump around trying to explain what he really meant in a speech or a tweet. She's been like the person hired to follow the elephants in a parade, sweeping up crap. |

I would rather a president that gets positive stuff for the country done, not just for special little groups. Obie flip-flopped so much, he resembled a buckwheat cake. I don't need to see the president on TV all the time, especially on late night comedy shows. If he wants to be an entertainer, then resign and audition for a gig on TV. Popularity polls have nothing to do with the performance of the president, nothing. Obama will go down in history as a popular president that got absolutely nothing accomplished. Before you attempt to say what Trump will or will not do, you really do not have the right to predict the future. That is all up to him. And so far, he has gotten off to a good start with his choices of advisors to surround himself with. I have no doubt that he will make mistakes. All of them have. Remember, Clinton had a great popularity poll but was/IS a total scumbag. Polls are meaningless for anything other than conversation. They prove nothing. |

To all progressive caustic remarks on this thread about Ms. Conway (notice in deference to progressives I didn't use the trigger warning Mrs.) recall this old saw "Cream always rises to the top"

Yes, the collapse started with Bush and O just covered it up by borrowing a $trillion a year and driving the debt up $10 trillion in 8 years. Quote:
Yes, the banks just make up the money they lend from Fed credit, but they need the interest to keep the bank open, to pay the bills, to pay the salaries...and MOST importantly...for those $million bonuses. Suckers signed up for ARMs that after reset tripled payments. "Free money" for the poor and ignorant, what could go wrong? Another wasted effort to "equalize" the minorities. Quote:
The government STOLE GM from the rightful owners, the bond and stock holders and GAVE it to completely different people. One night people went to bed owning GM and the next day, someone else owned it. Quote:

That's the trouble, instead of letting the cream rise, it's being diluted by affirmative action and quotas, and the quality is going down. |
