OK, don't jump on me for this. I'm just repeating what I heard on Meet the Press this morning. One of the journalists mentioned that there is talk that McCain may have been fed the questions in advance. Scary thought! :yikes:

Chels: I can tell you unequivocably that the questions were not fed to either candidate.
Maybe Meet the Press (Stephanolpolos (sp?)) was covering for Obama's non-answers. I don't know. BUT, neither got the questions in advance. Choose what you want to believe of course, but I felt I should voice the truth. |

Most likely neither one had the questions in advance. However, you can be assured all involved were made aware the subjects to be addressed. All speeches, debates, Q&A, the $64 question, game shows....all are prepared with general information that will be addressed in what ever the setting/outing.

__________________________________________________ ________________-- Holy cow it just never stops. NEVER. Anything that happens they are cheating or racists. Heck, you can call the President of the United States names but if you even mention a certain candidates REAL name you are playing some card. I would love to know exactly who said what you have repeated so I can call CNN TODAY and register a complaint and an explanation for this comment. If its true my anger poins another direction but WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHO EXACTLY SAID THIS....I will call CNN and register a general complaint after I review some shows but would like to have a name |

Bucco, it was the blond woman journalist in the round table at the end. I don't have time to do it now, but I'll play the tape back later and get her name. No one seemed to dispute it though. :dontknow:

He NEVER does this..always somebody in his campaign.....a top aide was on some cable news show saying that the Georgia situation may have been made worse by McCains comments. Now Sen Obama does not say that and if he is ever asked he will stutter and say as he does with all the sweet words.....he doesnt blame anyone for anything, HOWEVER THE MESSAGE HE WANTED DELIVERED IS DELIVERED. |

CHELSEA24...you posted the other day..
"OK, don't jump on me for this. I'm just repeating what I heard on Meet the Press this morning. One of the journalists mentioned that there is talk that McCain may have been fed the questions in advance. Scary thought! " Found an article about that today.... __________________________________________________ _____________________-- McCain protests NBC coverage By MIKE ALLEN | 8/17/08 11:32 PM EST Text Size: Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) campaign manager Rick Davis asked Sunday for a meeting with Steve Capus, the president of NBC News, to protest what the campaign called signs that the network is "abandoning non-partisan coverage of the presidential race." Davis made the request Sunday in a letter that is part of an aggressive effort by McCain to counter news coverage he considers critical. In this case, the campaign is objecting to a statement by NBC's Andrea Mitchell on "Meet the Press" questioning whether McCain might have gotten a heads-up on some of the questions that were asked of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who was the first candidate to be interviewed Saturday night by Pastor Rick Warren at a presidential forum on faith. Warren told the audience that McCain was being held in "a cone of silence" so he wouldn't hear the questions, which were similar for both candidates. Warren referred again to "the cone of silence" when McCain came onstage, and the senator joked: "I was trying to hear through the wall." Mitchell reported that some "Obama people" were suggesting "that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama. He seemed so well prepared." A McCain aide said that is not the case: "Senator McCain was in a motorcade led by the United States Secret Service and held in a green room with no broadcast feed." Mitchell made the comment in the context of saying McCain did better, and that the Obama camp was defensive. In response to the campaign's letter, she pointed out that journalists get criticism from both sides. "I wasn't expressing an opinion," Mitchell said. "I was reporting what they were saying." __________________________________________________ ___________________________ A point to make here is that today there is a post in another thread on here touting how Sen Obama runs such a clean campaign.....I made the point then and will repeat it with this report...the Obama CAMPAIGN is as dirty as you can get...now, he is not getting dirty but this is so typical...they claimed that Sen McCains remarks made the Georgia situation worse on CNN....and on it goes but Sen Obama is considered a smart clean and running a clean campaign. |

The fact is McCain was not in the church during the first half hour of Obama's interview, as assumed by Rick Warren, as he was traveling in a motorcade to the site. Once there he went into the silent room. So the question is, did McCain or any of his staff here the questions during that time and relay the information to McCain?
An unequivocal denial from McCain, stating neither he or his aides heard anything prior to his appearance on stage and he had no advance knowledge of any of the questions, would appear to be an amicable resolution. It sure doesn't seem too difficult for McCain to accomplish in order to eliminate any doubts. |

I'm sorry but these answers seem very naive. I was repeating something I heard on Meet the Press. But to say he was not even in the church or standing in some "cone of silence" as stated, just doesn't prove to me that he couldn't have been given the questions in advance.
Again, I'm not saying he was, I'm saying your arguments don't hold water. :dontknow: |

First let me say I do not support either candidate in this election, but it does seem strange that every time McCain does something good, as I feel he did at Saddlebrook, the main stream media says something must wrong. McCain is very capable as is Obama and I did watch the entire two hours and I thought is was very telling. Direct answers vs long answers that didn't really say anything. Must stop before I change my mind about voting for none of the above.

Again, I'm not saying he was, I'm saying your arguments don't hold water. __________________________________________________ ______________- What exactly does "your arguments don't hold water" mean ? So the Obama campaign makes this little statement to selected news folks, it is a FACT that we need to have substantive arguments to contradict ? And you heard it but it was said as something fed from he Obama campaign. I dispute that you heard it as NEWS !! This is/has been a typical Sen Obama campaign tactic from beginning of the primary to now...of course he is a clean guy who does not want a dirty campaign. It strikes me strange that someone who once said "you only beleive what you want to believe" would immediately spread what appears to be a vicious rumor on here to make some obscure point of which I am not sure what it was supposed to be. You run against Sen Obama you are always on the defensive from the slanders because he cannot be in error. |

DRR47..You are right on target. This is becoming the norm for this Obama team (of course Sen Obama keeps his distance).
