Never mind that an awards show is not an appropriate venue for this kind of speech, the question of why the press covers it looms large.

Every time one of these performing fleas opens their mouth, the press is all over them.

Next maybe the Super Bowl winning quarterback will make a political speech when he's interviewed after the game.

I am very much in favor of free speech, but it seems unfair that these people have this enormous platform from to influence millions of people.

Accept your award. Thank the people who helped you and get off the stage.
That is hilarious considering Donald Trump has no experience with government and is basically a real estate developer/reality TV star.

And Ronald Reagan was an actor/sports commentator.

Trump tweeted that Streep was one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood. Meryl Streep. He is such an easy target.

So true....Why is it so hard for Trump supporters to see, seems so obvious. I hope our nation survives this bully!

She is probably the best actress of her generation. Hands down. And a genuinely nice person from people I know second-hand who live in her hometown.

Then we would get Mike Pence who is far far worse than Donald Trump would ever be. Trump's too busy tweeting to do much damage.

Your statement "Donald Trump has far more in common with Hillary Clinton and Obama" obviously states you believe Hillary and Barry were despicable. Yes we will have to wait as you stated "Just wait and see what he actually does once he gets in office", but at least we don't have to deal with the current despicable, and your proposed TWO time looser. Barry, who changed his name to Barrack Hussein Obama to become a Muslim, has as you stated, "conned them into believing he actually likes you people." We "people" at least gave Obama a chance to succeed for 8 years but as his terms marched on and our country was "Hope and Changed" for the worse, the Election process demanded a new direction. Give the Election results a chance to succeed or fail as our Democracy DEMANDS, and as we did for 8 years.

Rumor has it that Meryl Streep movies will no longer be shown in The Villages. They will be replaced with Gary Bussey movies, who nobody ever accused of being an over-rated actor.

Try having an adult conversation without the petty name calling. It really speaks to your childish character. So you call Streep a loser, then you say she would be "assured" of portraying Hillary in this fantasy movie you have imagined, AND win an award for it. That would mean you actually think she's a good actor and a winner. Since you commented on their attire you must have watched it. There are always a few terrible dresses at these events, but for the most part plunging neck lines ruled the night. And you have a problem with that? Lastly, you must have some idea of what a minimum wage prostitute makes. Or was that just another nasty comment you couldn't resist?

I say that Donald Trump's experience and accomplishments far out weigh any entertainers both qualitatively and quantitatively.

The man has built things, negotiated contracts, hired people. All that he has done beats out going on to a stage and singing, playing an instrument or pretending to be someone else.

He's is a successful business man and will run the country like a business. It's about time someone does.

I my humble opinion, people with "experience in government" have been exactly what has been wrong with this country over the past 50 years.

Someone with business experience is exactly what we need. Donald Trump has successfully negotiated deals all over the world and has mostly come out on top. Our professional politicians have gotten us $19 trillion in debt. Donald Trump is a person that was widely admired by people on both sides of the aisle for his business acumen and his ability to get projects done under budget and ahead of schedule. He only became despised by the left when he decided to run against Hillary.Trump has had to work with politicians from both sides of the aisle and from foreign nations in order to get projects done. He knows how the Washington game works and he knows that it is wrong. He also knows how to stop it.

I'll take a successful business man who has spent his life in the real world versus a career politician who only knows how to raise taxes and go over budget.
