We all have prejudices against political figures we don't agree with, and I think you're letting yours show.

The liberals, who've been suffering some huge political setbacks lately, believe that the American public who've dismissed them are too stupid for their own good. These same Americans have been supporters of the "new Republican" standard bearers such as Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin and Jim Demint, so it's natural for the liberals, through their media outlets, to denigrate these people and tear them down and try to silence them.

You come up with supposed stupid comments by conservatives and I can come back with Joe Biden, Charlie Rangel, Harry Reid, Al Gore and many many more who've said some truly ridiculous things.

Do we really need to get petty?

Default and also on Billy's line

Also on Billy's line of questioning: Having been a CEO of a hospital consortium (Columbia/HCA) and being elected governor by REPUBLICANS. No names are mentioned.

The consortium pleading guilty to Medicare fraud and paying over $1 BILLION in fines. The former CEO said under oath that he knew nothing of the fraud. Well, it must be true.

Regarding your posting about dining room chairs, we just had ours done at Superior Upholstery in Ocala. They include pickup and delivery in the price. Good work, too. If you would like to see our chairs, just "Private Message" me and I will give you the address of our house in Glenbrook.

As for this:

You are absolutely right they have said stupid things...I will not say that you personally have done this but the comments that were made about the Speaker of House in the recent certainly were much more out of line than mine here.

Petty.....not me. Why the over reaction?
My comments may have seemed harsher in print than I meant them to be, but I'm getting weary of the attacks on the new Republican women, BY OTHER WOMEN ESPECIALLY. People who demean Bachman and Palin always seem petty to me. To belittle these two driven, intelligent and motivated American women for anything other than what someone might disagree with them about is just so much contemptible gossip mongering, in my view.

You don't seem to appreciate it when the mean spirited demean Ms. Pelosi in a personal attack not related to her politics, and probably didn't appreciate all the personal jabs concerning Secretary of State Clinton that didn't relate to her political position, for instance, and I don't blame you. Why, then is it OK for their "non-fans" to deride Ms. Palin and her family and Ms. Bachman in a mean spirited personal way?

I really don't want any of this to sound like I'm bashing you personally. I'm just trying to make a little point here, and your post was available for me to do so.

Richie,
You asked why it is okay for Palin and Bachman non-fans to deride them? Easy, it is for two very good reasons. 1) It is fun to do this and 2) it is so doggone easy to "deride" them. It is also very easy to make fun of Sharon Angle and of Christine "I Am Not A Witch" O'Donnell.

Palin quit her elected post in order to make a boatload of money off of fools that would buy her ghost-written books.

Bachman stated on video, "I find it interesting that back in the 1970's when the swine flu broke out, we had Jimmy Carter as President - another Democrat. I'm not blaming this on President Obama, I'm just saying it is a very interesting coincidence."

Sharron Angle stated, "People ask me what are you going to do to develop jobs in your state? Well, that's not my job as a U.S. Senator."

Christine O'Donnell stated, "American scientific companies are cross breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully-functioning human brains".

Yes, I am making fun of them - and they deserve it.

It is not a sexist thing, it is not a political thing, my God, these women are wacko. Every one of these quotes was absolutely true.

Tbugs;

Palin quit her job as Governor in order for family to survive. You need to keep in mind that this was a lady who had worked with her hands unlike her opposition counterpart, Joe Biden who was such as priviledged backgroud that he could in no way identify with average Americans - to try to do so, he needed to lie, identifying a place they should meet as a 'favorite' even though it had not been there for ten years - it no longer existed. Nuff said. Palin wound up out of funds to defend herself on a Governor's income. Why? The DNC chose to attack her with endless accusations that were either dropped or proved false. As anyone who can tell you who has been through the process of an extended lawsuit - the party with the deepest pocket wins.

As for your Bachman quoted, I've tried to find a tape of the full interview so I can put it in context. Can you direct me to such a link or is this something deliberately taken out of context? Otherwise, it is another internet hack job.

OK, you've made your point, and from what I gather you're defending your right to be a mean-spirted, petty, vicious, gossip-mongering, miss-quoting, anti-Republican-woman blogger; because it's FUN!!!

Glad to know where you stand, and for once you made your point crystal clear.

The DNC did no such thing.....and you all should talk after all the endless lawsuits against the Clintons. But your BS about Biden is just so much garbage. Where in the world do you get this stuff. Do you even try to fact check anything you post here. Well I did and you are wrong about Biden's background.....

Wikinews has related news: Barack Obama elected 44th President of the United States

Joseph Robinette "Joe" Biden, Jr. (pronunciation: /ˈdʒoʊzɪf rɒbɪˈnɛt ˈbaɪdən/; born November 20, 1942) is the 47th and current Vice President of the United States, serving under President Barack Obama. He was a United States Senator from Delaware from January 3, 1973 until his resignation on January 15, 2009, following his election to the Vice Presidency.

Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and lived there for ten years before moving to Delaware. He became an attorney in 1969, and was elected to a county council in 1970. Biden was first elected to the Senate in 1972 and became the sixth-youngest senator in U.S. history. He was re-elected to the Senate six times, was the fourth most senior senator at the time of his resignation, and is the 14th-longest serving Senator in history. Biden was a long-time member and former chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. His strong advocacy helped bring about U.S. military assistance and intervention during the Bosnian War. He opposed the Gulf War in 1991. He voted in favor of the Iraq War Resolution in 2002, but later proposed resolutions to alter U.S. strategy there. He has also served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, dealing with issues related to drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties, and led creation of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and Violence Against Women Act. He chaired the Judiciary Committee during the contentious U.S. Supreme Court nominations of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas.

Biden unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and 2008, both times dropping out early in the race. Barack Obama selected Biden to be the Democratic Party nominee for Vice President in the 2008 U.S. presidential election. Biden is the first Roman Catholic and the first Delawarean to become Vice President of the United States. As Vice President, Biden has been heavily involved in Obama's decision-making process and has held the oversight role for infrastructure spending from the Obama stimulus package aimed at counteracting the late-2000s recession.

Early life and education
Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania,[1] the son of Joseph Robinette Biden Sr. (1915–2002)[2] and Catherine Eugenia "Jean" Finnegan (1917–2010).[3] He was the first of four siblings[1] in an Irish Catholic family with roots in County Londonderry.[4][5] He has two brothers, James Brian Biden and Francis W. Biden, and a sister, Valerie (Biden) Owens.[6] His great-grandfather, Edward F. Blewitt, was a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate.[7]

Biden's father had been very well-off earlier in his life, but had suffered several business reverses by the time Biden was born,[8] and for several years the family had to live with Biden's maternal grandparents, the Finnegans.[8] When the Scranton area went into economic decline during the 1950s, Biden's father could not find enough work.[9] In 1953, the Biden family moved to an apartment in Claymont, Delaware, where they lived for a few years before moving to a house in Wilmington, Delaware.[8] Joe Biden Sr. then did better as a used car salesman, and the family's circumstances were middle class.[8][9][10]

This conversation brings me back to Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals", which the current administration has studied well. It is wise to keep in mind-

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Notice it took just six posts to turn this thread to Sarah Palin. Enjoy.
