No, it's the result of about 10-12 years of selfish, irresponsible, dysfunctional government with both Congresses and presidents from both of our major political parties.

Then remove them from office come 2012 and replace with those that are willing to work for the American People, make hard choices and not work just for re-election, this has to happen on the local, state and federal level.

All of us, each and everyone is responsible for the mess that we are in. We did not do our jobs as voters and American Citizens. We let someone else do our thinking and inch by inch and step by step we are now paying the price for OUR inactions and incompetence, so suck it up, get back in the game and start doing what we were suppost to be doing in the first place, watching those that we sent to represent us.

Hopefully we can survive until the 2012 election and get rid of those that are mis-representing us and only working for themselves. Demand, from our elected officals, that they pass a law that anyone in an elected office, local, state and federal who commits a crime be removed from office immediately. If they don't pass that law, then remove them at the next election and pick new folks that will do as the voters demand.
Yes!

The philosophical basis of the liberal Democrats in Congress is a belief in the welfare state. They continue to pass redistribution programs to close the gap of disparity between classes. It is all about social justice. During the debt ceiling debate one Democrat (not ID) was quoted as saying "Some people just make too much money."

You can the frustration in Progressive minds via the liberal media/pols ..." we heard that the tea party were content with blowing up our government Washington Post E.J Dionne , columnist

or Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people NY Times, Joe Nocera, columnist

or "acting like a maniacal gang with knives held high" NY Times Maureen Dowd, columnist

Biden the Democrats or both at one point in negotiations said Republicans have acted like terrorists.

Obama and liberal Democrats are idealogs and as such are obssessed with passing this social justice agenda even at the detriment of the Country.

I appauld the tea party because but for their stick-to-itive-ness the Republican party would have caved in substntially more than they did.

Remember the rating agencies down grading American's bonds are the same agencies that contributed to 2008 economic crisis.

Not quite the truth of the situation in my view. All things are not equal.

And how about this "incendiary vitriol" from Warren Buffet, Obama's economic advisor during his campaign and this year:

(In a recent interview about the debt ceiling debate: )

"if you take a 6 shooter and stuck a gun a bullet in one chamber and said spin it"

"playing Russian roulette to get your way"

"when you have somebody with a gun to your head"

"didn't do it by sticking guns at each other's heads"

"you're playing with fire"

(there are two ways of paying your bills) ....the other is "only at the threat of a gun"

"Well I hope that if they send out the Social Security checks, they send them out Alphabetically!"

(Interviewer: "Why aren't SS and medicare means tested?)

"(they think you're)...better off making decisions of those things at the point of a gun"

they say, "now we're going to blow your brains out, America"

......said Warren Buffet.

See video clip at:

Isn't THAT a great way to foster reasonable debate and mutual compromise?!?!?!??

I do not have a favorite President but if I did, he would know that we do not have 57 States.
