The Afordable Care Act disasterous effects are already taking hold and I will let history explain the rest. Bin Laden,Gaddafi falling under Obama's watch had nothing to do with him because plans for dealing with them both have been well underway before Obama's time and if anyone deserves credit it is our military and intelligence agencies. As some guy explained to me on the golf course both the demise of bin Laden and Gaddafi have been confirmed. And we know that as a truth because their names both showed up on the Chicago Democratic voter register as eligible to vote . |

one needs to be more specific than "the American automobile industry".
The government did make a gift to GM and Chrysler. The majority of the players in the American automobile industry did just fine without a hand out. Nice list of three accomplishments that include two of the three, the jury is still out on. Yes he gets credit for OBL being killed by the Navy Seals. Just like the mars rover landed on mars done by NASA. I much prefer to talk about the things he has not done. No need to list them. First there are too many and second they are well known as some of us have listed them several times during his tenure. Remember some of us are looking for initiatives that result in something good for America in the future....not just completions. Most of us know things take more time than most people think.....but it begins by at least taking the first step....which Obama does not do! btk |

A new report just out from the Internal Revenue Service reveals that 36 of President Obama's executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes. These people working for [Obama] apparently haven't paid any share, let alone their fair share. Previous reports have shown how well-paid Obama's White House staff is, with 457 aides pulling down more than $37 million last year. That's up seven workers and nearly $4 million from the Bush administration's last year. The report is part of an annual IRS review of unpaid taxes by government workers across the executive agencies and Congress — and the White House actually has a much lower tax delinquency rate than many of the agencies and Congress. Still, the report is certainly political fodder as President Obama highlights the need for all Americans to sacrifice for the common good." White House staffers owe more than $800,000 in back taxes - POLITICO.com "While President Obama exhorts Americans to support tax hikes on high income individuals, families and businesses, he could stand to look inside the halls of the White House for some extra revenue. Andrew Malcolm over at Investor's Business Daily points us to the hard numbers: three dozen Obama executive advisers and aides owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes" The Obama Tax Cheats - Kevin Glass Of course we all know the woes of Geithner and the IRS...if you wish there are numerous artilces from the NY Times, etc on that situation...this guy would be at the top of the list to guide the President would you not think. "In 2006, the IRS audited Mr. Geithner's 2003 and 2004 taxes and concluded he owed taxes and interest totaling $17,230, according to documents released by the Senate Finance Committee. The IRS waived the related penalties. During the vetting of Mr. Geithner late last year, the Obama transition team discovered the nominee had failed to pay the same taxes for 2001 and 2002. "Upon learning of this error on Nov. 21, 2008, Mr. Geithner immediately submitted payment for tax that would have been due in those years, plus interest," a transition aide said. The sum totaled $25,970." Geithner's Tax History Muddles Confirmation - WSJ.com Nobody is making a big deal of it, and I said it was in humor but since you challenged me....keep in mind...I DO NOT post anything from ONE source...all my posts are confirmed and verified through several sources. If it a conservative claim, I check liberal sites also and vice versa. I do not post half truths, or try not to...I have because of my checking at times I am sure, but if you want to challenge me, please be my guest...you will find I did my research before posting anything. Even in humor ! |

"Word today that yet another Barack Obama appointee has a little problem with taxes -- a $10,000 problem. Ron Kirk, the former mayor of Dallas who would be the White House chief trade representative if confirmed, didn't pay taxes on some speaking fees he donated to his alma mater and he tried to write off the full $17,000 costs of his Dallas Mavericks season tickets. Not sure if we have room here to list every other would-be Obama appointee who tU.S Trade Representative nominee Ron Kirk, the ex-mayor of Dallas, turns out to be the latest Barack Obama appointee to have back tax problemsurns out to have some tax problems. There was Timothy Geithner, who's now Treasury Secretary in charge of the IRS. But being as articulate as he is and so well-versed in handling other people's money, he was deemed essential to the fight against the economic downturn and that's worked out real well. Just look at the markets. There was Tom Daschle, who was deemed essential to the effort to completely reform the nation's health care system. " Another Obama pick owes back taxes, but it's OK because, now caught, he'll pay up - latimes.com " Thursday’s Senate confirmation hearing for Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius to serve as Health and Human Resources secretary barely touched on the fact that she is part of an interesting club: Obama nominees who failed to fully pay their taxes. Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa was the only participant to mention that Ms. Sebelius and her husband recently paid $7,040 in back taxes and $878 dollars in interest and penalties for minor amendments to their 2005-2007 tax returns. The discrepancy was discovered in her preparation for her nomination. The governor avoided the subject in her testimony and is expected to be easily approved in short order. EDITORIAL: Obama's 'taxing' nominees - Washington Times "Because, at this point, I have to think the answer is no. After a string of Obama nominees disclosed tax issues – including confirmed Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and failed nominees Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer – yet another has been revealed. Ron Kirk, Obama’s nomination for U.S. Trade Representative, owes an estimated $10,000 in back taxes. The tax obligations, which were revealed by the Senate Finance Committee, are related to Kirk’s handling of speaking fees and for entertainment deductions. Kirk failed to report to income that he received for speaking fees because he donated the fees to his alma mater, Austin College. He apparently assumed that it would be a “wash” due to the charitable deduction but it was not. The difference is a whopping $5,800. That does sound like a lot of money, doesn't it? That comes out to an average of about $80,000 per year. Some made more, some made less. On the average, it is at the GS-12 pay scale. For an employee at the White House, that is not over paying. Sounds okay to me - as a former HR Manager in Federal government. |
