Sally Jo, you posted before I could. I don't know how anyone could be surprised with what Obama is doing and when I hear people say that they are, it frustrates the heck out of me!

I know some very productive people who plan to just give it up and retire early instead of turning over about half of their hard earned income to the government. Punishing hard working, (and yes people making ever $250,000 can be hard working individuals), is not the way to increase governmental revenue. Who do you think creates jobs??

I'm so afraid that we are in for some even tougher times and Lord, I hope I am wrong.

The use of the "economic crisis" as the instrument to ram through social agenda not related to the "economic crisis" as semi-hidden paragraphs within the ultra-expensive stimulus bill is causing most of the criticism.

While there can be all the rhetoric of "gotta move quickly" on the stimulus spending, there is no justification for the social program items not getting full congressional review, debate and discussion.

Mr. Obama came into office with key "change" agenda, including the operating in the sunshine on any new programs via express, visible public exposure prior to any Executive Office action. I can accept the majority vote for wanting that change, but now is time to deliver on what that majority was promised. He has only been in office for a few weeks, but that does not excuse the process actions such as operating in the sunshine from being accomplished.

Mr. Obama is finding himself with a "Hillary" of his own, that being Rep. Pelosi. Her snide remarks and insults about everything not to her liking and everyone who does not pay her homage appear to be condoned, if not actually encouraged, by Mr. Obama. She is acting and sounding like the "We are the President" of the past, and his imputed acknowledgment of her in that role only will add to criticism of him.

So, Mr. Obama needs to deliver on the process promises now. The product promises that the American majority are expecting can take time, and hopefully won't bankrupt the minority who actually pay taxes.

If he can't deliver on the process promises, then he is indeed showing himself as just another politician of whom P.T. Barnum would have been proud

Default The ady Obama or anybody else steps up to the bar

and acknowledges Pelosi as an impediment to ANYTHING will be as they say a cold day in you know where.
She is only one of the inept lawmakers in Washington (both parties).
She just happens to hold the front runner position of the party in Congress.
Politicians DO NOT take other politicians to task unless they are snipping at the opposition...both parties.
They have only one agenda....their personal one...then the party...we the people do not make the first page...never did (no matter what party).

And we the sheeple, continue to re-elect them.
As Steve always says dump 'em in 2010 and 2012...but that won't happen either. You want proof...Barney Frank????? Harry Reid???? Now Burris????
They can lye...cheat....not pay taxes...adulterers...wierdos and queers...too old to find their own hat...incompetent...etc....yet the sheeple continue to re-elect them.
We the people...the permissive, pacifists, the not in my backyard, it ain't my problem, dolts that continue to allow them to stay in office.

Term limits...50 million letters to the law makers demanding term limits might make a noise to be reckoned with...unfortunately that will never happen.

None would last one year in any other responsible organization.

The silent majority gets what it deserves.

We need another revolution...but that spirit no longer exists in America either.

What a pity. We are fortunate due to our ages. Our children and future generations will have it far worse.

The terrorists need only stand by and watch the implosion!!!

Change??? BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
