I can't speak to the others, but I *can* speak to #15.

It's almost completely false.

This happened near NORTH Station, not South Station. This means it was almost 2 miles away from Occupy Boston. This also happened when homeless were trying to 'invade' Occupy Boston and there WERE problems when they (the protestors) tried to basically enforce their "No Drugs, No Alcohol" rule.

Fox News Boston was quick to report that the Coast Guard warned service members away from Atlantic Avenue - until the facts came in, which Fox 25 seems to have ignored.

I can't speak to the other stuff - but I can speak to what I personally saw a couple of weeks ago when I went there - and my cousin also went and saw mostly the same thing I did. The news is looking for the sensational - ratings uber alles, if you will - and the truth be damned in the name of said ratings.

if one would forget the always haunting partisan aspect continually attempted to identify one group or another....the occupiers would be hard pressed to get majority America to buy into their mode of mob like protesting.

I am in fact pleasantly surprised the media is showing the violent, mob mode of the occupier events.

AGAIN forgetting the partisan pollution of thinking...how would one determine what the occupiers are for? Seems they are against everything. The media and Obama have tried to polarize them by "backing them" which he might reconsider after recent performances by these people.

Once you reach a certain age, history starts repeating itself, doesn't it? Seems as if we are back at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. We faced rioting and "peaceful" demonstrations for nearly a year before that convention. I think whoever (George Soros & Labor Unions) are using the same play book. It didn't work very well then and it will not play well now. Unfortunately, only this nation will suffer for their vile actions. They are unable to articulate just what it is they are demonstrating against! If you don't know what to say, then free speech is not in play! These people need a bath and need to go home!

Yeah - let's take a look at Oakland, shall we? A peaceful demonstration - just as is going on in cities all over the WORLD - turns ugly because the police decided to break things up with tear gas. This didn't happen in New York or Boston or anywhere else (except the protest in rome got ugly as well but I don't have a lot of the details).

...and when the tear gas cannister knocks out an Iraq War Veteran, what do the cops do? They fire an explosive/concussive device where he fell!

Again, if you think Oakland's troubles are what the OWS protestors should be characterized as, you should be JUST FINE with the pictures of all those lunatics who crashed the Tea Party rallies with the most racist and hateful signs I've seen in decades.

Are you aware just how many cities have these peaceful protests? of course not - because peaceful protests don't sell newspapers and don't look flashy on the news.

I thought he only did that when people paid him to show up. In our businesses we used to have legal council that would come in and let us know when to think about paying him stay away. Either way that is how he remains the "poor" richman...on the backs of others.

I am not sure if the argument stands because don't you have to be against "something". I mean how do you know what all these people are protesting against or for. To me they are just living in the street.
Maybe in the beginning some had an idea of why they were there but now, not so much.

I would say that the vast majority are dead beats with nothing better to do than cause trouble which they have probably done in every situation they have been in since grade school. And now that they have their PHD in whatever "save the world" discipline they got it in and can't find a job we have what we have.

Wake up and smell the anarchy DJ. The police "overreaction" you alluded to in the part of your post I didn't quote was a reaction to the protesters building a huge bonfire in the middle of a city street. Really?; they should just go with that?

Just living in the streets? Try talking to some. Not what the ridiculous news organizations tell you. Go out there and see for yourself. This isn't a rant on Fox News. They're ALL guilty of it - CNN, MSNBC, the lot of them. The local coverage of Occupy Boston seems a little more even handed - but that's because they actually TALK to the protestors instead of talking over video footage.

And about your 'middle America' comment..

These are the people who were SUPPOSED to BECOME MIddle America. I spoke to college students, war veterans, laid off workers, mothers, fathers, teachers - even the cops 'guarding' the rally were sympathetic - maybe being LITERALLY in the shadow of the Federal Reserve Building on Atlantic Avenue had something to do with it - I don't know.. You name it, they were there. Were there loonies there? Yeah - three of them in particular that I remember - one was an "Anarchist Communist" - I swear I'm not making that up - I *couldn't* make that up!

I am going to have to take your word for it because here in West Texas we don't have that kind of thing happen much.
We did have 10 or 12 people stand out on a corner one day but the had to get back to work so the protest ended.
I guess then since you believe the WSO protesters are getting a bad wrap then you would also agree that the Tea Party protesters got a bad wrap??

I think the Tea Party gets a bad racism rap. I don't, for a minute, believe that Tea Partiers are as racist as some of those lunatics who've crashed the rallies earlier this year would make them look.

It's one reason I won't use the derogatory term associated with a sexual practice when talking about the Tea Party. I don't agree with their almost religious stance against compromise on many issues - but they DO raise many topics that DO need to be discussed. Having said that, I understand where some of that resistance comes from. Presidents back to Reagan and beyond have been promised budget cuts in exchance for tax hikes where only the hikes happened and the cuts just vanished into thin air.
