This looks like it happened yesterday.

I agree it is a stupid mistake. "Polish death camp" controversy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I suppose it is repeated here, however, in the Jewish Virtual Library--
Extermination Camps in Poland
You really don't see the distinction between "POLISH DEATH CAMPS" and "Extermination Camps IN Poland"??

Come on!!; Is the Kool-Aid that strong in your camp?

Unfairly putting words in my mouth. You just also said "Kool-Aid" which is very offensive to some TOTVers who associate references to "Kool-Aid" to the massacre of many people in Jonestown. Jonestown - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Extermination camps in Poland without more explanation implies they are Polish death camps. They both need to be qualified with Nazi death camps or Nazi extermination camps.

My words absolutely and correctly reflect what your post implied.

Everybody knows what the phrase "drinking the kool-aid" has come to mean. Get over it.

No they do not. Extermination camps in Poland is similiar to the unqualifed Polish death camps. They both need Nazi qualifiers.

I knew I got your meaning right with your links.

Go ahead and parse meanings if you wish. It's a meaningless exercise, and I've already proved my point. You can continue to mangle the language if you wish to.

Twist all you want RichieLion. The poster gets the benefit of the doubt as to what he or she meant. You misquote people often to make a point.

I didn't misquote you; you're just desperately trying to wriggle out of what you said, much as "The Amateur" is doing today.

I wouldn't read a piece by leftist partisan dolt Rachel Maddow ever. You really want to link Rachel Maddow?? Now you really have no shame.

"But what seems most interesting to me is an observation from Steve M., who discovered just how common an error this is, including references to "Polish death camps" from journalists at CNN, ABC, CBS, and the New York Times.

Also guilty of this have been Ha'aretz, USA Today, the L.A. Times, the Chicago Tribune, The Daytona Beach News-Journal, the Associated Press, The Buffalo News, Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper and broadcaster CTV, The Toronto Star, and the British comedian Stephen Fry. And that's just a list of people and organizations that have been reproached for it.

Oh, one more: Fox News.

Yes, it would have been better if the administration had avoided the gaffe, but it's quite a common gaffe.

Let those of us who have not made similar slip-ups cast the first stone." from the Rachel Maddow blog link. The Maddow Blog - A death camp in Poland, not a Polish death camp

Maybe, RichieLon you would treat people who post on TOTV a little fairer if you actually checked on what the links say rather than just refusing to even look at them and then attacking people with insults.

Calling you "wrong" is not an "insult"; it's just a fact.

Insulting Maddow is fair game.

Name 100 people if you want who've made similar errors, it doesn't alter the fact that Obama made a huge gaffe.

You and the other rabid leftists are quick to jump on a Republican and castigate him for less notable verbal gaffes.

You can dish it out, but can't take it; especially when it's directed at "The Amateur".

Would you please stop using "The Amateur" and use the correct nickname of "The One".

They're both applicable. "The Amateur" is just more timely now that Oprah is not on the national radar much anymore.

So now what? How long will this relatively minor faux pax be politicized while there are serious issues on the table?
Would you say the same thing for Bush, "Mission Accomplished" .

How long did the left and maybe you droned on about this.

It is the leftist play book. Hit me I will hit you twice and harder, then I will gripe about it when you hit back.

Obama just proves he is stupid about something too!
The problem with perfection, that some think this president is, is he is not and in many cases he struggles to be average. I guess that is the level that the left has grown to live up to, average!

"I guess that is the level that the left has grown to live up to, average!"

Of course that is what they have grown to live up to because they are raised that way these days. Live off the dole, don't work, take to the street, the government will take care of you.
