Default Packing Heat at a Town Hall

As reported on CNN...

A gun fell out of the pocket of an attendees at a Arizona Healthcare Town Hall.

I would think that if they had a carry permit they might have more sense than to carry it in a pocket.

Didn't an NFL player catch one in the leg doing that?

I don't think it was the reporter that had the gun. I believe the reporter reported that somebody else had the gun.

Concealed carry comes with restrictions, and in every jurisdiction I know, concealed carry is not permitted inside any government facility - fed, state or local. Most jurisdictions have a zero-tolerance for concealed carry violations.
So, if a person is caught carrying a concealed weapon in a forbidden location, a felony conviction usually follows.

Steve is correct. However, I would bet it wasn't just a citizen attending a Townhall, but one of the SEIC/ACORN thugs now sent to these things to bait and intimidate so that the sound bites/film for news portray the Townhalls in a negative way.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

Good one. I must be a step behind today as I didn't think of that. It could have been planted by an ACORN thug and dropped purposely to garner negative publicity.

I could have guessed it is always ACORN or Barney Frank......

This townhall meeting was in AZ and the report said a protester dropped the gun. It has also been reported to the police.

But wouldn't a responsible gun owner have a secure place to stash the gun...in the pocket might not be the best place for it.

Does Barney Frank have a concealed weapon license? Is a Massachusett's permit lawful in Arizona?

Any proof ACORN or Barney was there?

What this debate is showing, is that there is little trust - in the administration and its devout supporters, or in those who see the administration as less-than-stellar. What is worse is that the administration and the leadership of both the major political parties appear to whipsaw a combination of adoration for their followers and abject vilification of those who aren't followers. And even worse, we fall for it and become the ultimate victims while the politicians (of both parties) just roll merrily along.

It does not matter what happens from here on out. The believe that either or both sides to any political debate will employ "dirty tricks," or use of taxpayer-funded resources by the Executive for (unauthorized) furtherance of a legislative agenda coupled with "identification of the naysayers" fur an unknown purpose, is sad.

Default Reports from Townhall

Some people who were at the Townhall meeting in New Hampshire that the fuhrer attended were calling in the radio station this afternoon. All the people who were against government health care had homemade signs that were very witty. The pro Obamacare people had professionally made signs. Obama actually brought a marching band with some weird title like "The lefties" or something like that.
They also said that they bused in alot of "well dressed" pro-Obama people. They said the camera's ignored alot of the anti-Obama crowds and concentrated on the Pro-Obama signs. The cops tried to keep the anti-Obama crowd away from the action but were out maneuvered by the enterprising Tea Party crowd.

I watched some Town Hall clips today....

One guy wore a gun strapped to his leg the town hall was in a church. The thing was many people said they didn't know what happened to their America and they were scared.

I remember saying the exact same thing 8 years ago...

If the gun incident actually happened -- evidently seen only by congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' staff and reported by them -- it happened at a Safeway store in Douglas. Not saying it's not part of the grand scheme and will not happen, but Safeways are not yet government property.

I searched for more info on the event but could only find the suspected perp identified as "a visitor." The person was not further identified as pro- or anti- healthcare bill or as an SEIU thug. Nor could I find any proof that the visitor actually existed and that the gun was more than a figment of a staffer's imagination. Of course, I didn't search overly hard.

How dare you ask for the facts rather than jumping to judgement? You do need to be reported to the White House as a subversive.
