Bring on the debates! Sept. 26th we will see who is better qualified and who can fix the mistakes of the BUSH administration.

Four more years of the same OLD,same OLD, is not what this YOUNG country needs.
Remember, it is Obama vs. McCain !!!!!!
Ronda my dear, isn't Congress controlled by theDemocrats?
Who last time I looked had a lower rating in polls than Bush.

Bucco, Yes, I started this thread. I also realize that I sometimes veer off when others make comments that are incorrect. Palin is not running for president. Thank goodness, because I despise her.

Muncle, you are right, she is not a part of 'the sisterhood'.

Gnu, I also respect every man and woman that ever served our country. THANK YOU!

EVERYONE, I agree to disagree.

I will watch the debates. When I come back here, I will keep it short and sweet. I will spend more time enjoying life. I will also be on different political forums where our young people have great ideas and thoughts. The polls don't show their voice. They believe the world will look at us as a diverse multicultural country, without racism, with love and concern of all our people and others throughout the world. Obama is a peaceful, concerned, educated breath of fresh air that will bring the world closer to a peaceful existance. The young folks use cell phones which are not included in polls. Check what the young folks are saying out there in cyberspace, you may learn something. If not things do not change, this country will continue in a downward spiral. OK, I'm done rambling. I'll be back after the 26th!

It's just wrong on so many levels, I wouldn't know where to start.
You must think that you own your body but you are wrong. God lets you
use it but all things belong to Him and killing another person(born or unborn)
just because it is incovenient is totally wrong. Just because the supreme court legalized abortion it is still against God's law. Slavery was also allowed
in this country and I guess you agree that a master can do anything with his
slaves since it was allowed and no one should tell him what he can do with his own slaves.

Hey.....I'm pro-choice- In the Bedroom.

I do not want to get off topic, so I won't go down that road long. In this day and age there are so many ways NOT to get pregnant. Once you do, you made your choice.

With about 4000 abortions per day, the "rape and incest" argument has to apply in a very small percentage.....far more abortions done out of "taking care of a problem"........done by a greedy industry who cares little about the emotional damage done to the women afterwards.

“So Sambo beat the bitch!”

This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

Did someone say racist?

So JungleJim....we now believe what an UNIDENTIFIED waitress in a restaurant says and post it as fact, but we deny chronicles of facts accumulated over years about Sen Obama.

WOW...methinks your hate has overwhelmed your clear thinking !

I have read through this post and am shocked by the vitriol displayed at Gov. Palin. It is one thing to disagree with someone's position on the issues, but how can anyone say that they "despise" her? What has she ever done to deserve this? I am not a great admirer of President Clinton, but would sure love to play a round of golf with him. I have admiration for Sen. Obama, however I think he would be a disaster as President, and have every intention of voting for John McCain. Oh, I have nothing against Sen. Biden, as I don’t know much about him. All I am saying is that this discussion is best kept civil.

Palin: "To the families of special-needs children all across this country, I have a message: For years, you sought to make America a more welcoming place for your sons and daughters. I pledge to you that if we are elected, you will have a friend and advocate in the White House."

Palin actually slashed funding for schools for special needs kids by 62%.

Palin: "I told the Congress "thanks, but no thanks," for that Bridge to Nowhere. If our state wanted a bridge, we'd build it ourselves."

Just to reiterate what others have said: Congress' requirement that funds be spent on that bridge (aka the 'earmark') were removed before Sarah Palin became governor. She was therefore in no position to tell Congress anything about the bridge, one way or the other. During her campaign, she said she supported funding for the bridge. Later, she accepted the money -- now not restricted by an earmark -- and used it for other infrastructure projects. In the city Ketchikan, the planned site of the so-called "Bridge to Nowhere," political leaders of both parties said the claim was false and a betrayal of their community, because she had supported the bridge and the earmark for it secured by Alaska's Congressional delegation during her run for governor.
"People are learning that she pandered to us by saying, I'm for this' ... and then when she found it was politically advantageous for her nationally, abruptly changed position.

Palin: "America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it."

No -- he plans to develop a lot more energy than John McCain does. It's just that a lot of it is renewable, not carbon-based. Moreover, Obama hasn't skipped the last eight votes on renewable energy.

Palin: "The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.

Well, it all depends whose taxes go up, doesn't it? Most Americans will pay less in taxes under Obama's plan than under McCain's. So they might well be better off.

Default McCain a winner

Junglejim, check your facts on racism. Go to Snopes.com.
Why don't you recognize the fact that BHO is a good talker, offers nothing and is NOTHING but an empty suit.
As the saying goes, empty barrels make the most noise. BHO fits the picture.

It isn't better than a third Clinton term. Whethere or not one liked Bill Clinton, the US economy was in a helluva lot better shape then (remember we actually had a "surplus") than it is now after 8 years of Bushenomics.
