Please read the following article about Nacy Pelosi
and please tell me if it makes any sense to you.
You may want to have a bucket handy: http://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/pressreleases?id=1576 She really doesn't deserve the 10% favorable rating she gets....it should be less!!!!!!!!! A poster child for Washington incompetence. Borderline disgusting for a so called "representative". btk |

This may be the sentence in her speech that is being alluded to... "“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy. |

Yes that denegrating statement as well as the rest of
her slant in the speech. I am so anti Nancy, I cannot be objective and I have extreme difficulty with ANYTHING she says as it is ALL usually divisive.....the entire speech is representative of her attitude toward the public with her continuous snow job.
Some people espouse their continuous dis-favor of Bush yet tolerate a person like this. I suppose I am guilty of Nancy bashing and should not take up the time and space for it here, but I just launched when I read it. btk |

I heard this "line" earlier today. Unbelievable!! The really sad thing is that she doesn't have to worry about being reelected. She's in a safe district.

I re-read this line 5 times.
"we have to pass this bill to find out what is in it"
Looks like she really did say that. The pundits will have a field day with this. |

Progressive Party once again
What really stands out in Pelosi's speech is her reference to President Teddy Roosevelt's Progressive agenda.
“As you are in Washington this week, we stand at the doorstep of history, ready to realize a centuries old dream, started by a Republican President, Teddy Roosevelt. He was the one who started this country thinking in this direction, and we are deeply in his dept. But, we are a hundred years late..." Pelosi said. Roosevelt started the Progressive Party of 1912, nicknamed the Bull Moose Party, after he couldn't get nominated by the Republicans for a second run at the Presidency. The agenda of The Progressive Party of 1912 included changing the U.S. Constitution, banking reforms, health insurance reform, workers compensation changes, major social and welfare reform; all of which makes the government bigger and dependency of the public greater. Sound familiar? |
