This is one paragraph from the article that should really hit home...

I have trouble disputing that paragraph.....nor this one....

I fully understand the adversorial relationship we have with Soviets but when you read it from another countries editorial page and you have a problem in rebutting what they are saying...it is a bit sobering !

This is really a bummer....saying that I agree with you again VK.

I expected a lot of blame being placed on the last President or along party lines.

And you are right again (terrible..just terrible)...it did happen on our watch and as Steve always posts on here...we gotta clean out that congress ! And we have to wake up and FIGHT a bit harder against those who want everything to be so doggone "politically correct" instead of just plain correct !

Kinda reminds me of that old saw involving the Lone Ranger and Tonto. The story goes they were surrounded by hundreds of savage "injuns" after the Lone Ranger led them into the middle of the attack. As a long time conservative, feeling like Tonto, please don't include me in "we're" in trouble. Point being... conservatives have been ringing the alarm bell since Joe MCarthy was a gleam in his father's eye and Hector was a pup. So when I read "It happened on our watch" all I can do is in amazement and mild irritation.

Many patriots risking ridicule and sanction from the left raised the alarm as far back as FDR's tenure. As blasphemous as that will sound to some, revisionist history has not erased Roosevelt's comfort level, curiosity and admiration for Russia and Communism. So little space, so little time to elaborate. Suffice to say my opinion is based on copious research on General Patton and not just the movies. I recently supplemented my research with another reading of the Communist Manifesto. Now that is scary.

I take little comfort in knowing I never took rank with those impressionable souls (sheeple as Pravda refers to them) who have embraced the feel good dogma of socialism and Marxsim in all their manifestations including the cult like Obama administration.

Well, the communists decided back in the 70's that forming groups to bomb buildings and people was not the best way to change things ( Bill Ayers...Obama's buddy, for example) So they put their bombs in storage and decided to work from the inside and became proffessors at major universities.
They figured that they could preach their politics to the naive and they would graduate and spread the good word to their children and friends within the system by taking jobs that can influence more people. And on, and on and on.........Just like a virus ....spreading...it sure worked better then bombs.
People, it isn't just democrats against republicans.....that is just a diversion to them...this is much bigger.
This is a culture war. Progressives against people who believe in God. I know I shouldn't bring religion into this but I'm afraid it is too late. We are fighting a war based on religion. (Iraq) Why do you think they brought down the twin towers?
Let me back up a second. The progressives and the Islamist (sp) are two different factions but they still want the same thing. To destroy the american way of life. Period. The progressives (liberals) have basically taken over the democratic party. Yes, the extreme left is now running the country. Isn't that a pleasant thought?
The only time a progressive will humble himself and believe in this country is when they think they are in danger. Like after the towers went down they all joined hands at the capital in a sign of unity. How fast that ended, huh?
Well, there is nothing we can do now, is there. With a congress that rubber stamps every dictate from Czar Obama, it is going to be a long journey,indeed. This feeling I have in my gut is the same helpless feeling I had when they took those hostages for over 400 days when Jimmy Carter was the commander in chief.
The only thing we can do is stay strong and organize so that when our time comes again, we can really take control and try to salvage what's left.
Sorry to sound so down....wish I could see the light at the end of this long dark tunnel.

That's the problem, Cabo. WE really are in trouble. America is made up of people of many political persuasions, from ultra-conservative to raging liberal to ""I'm too busy and really don't care". When our economy, our environment, our educational system, our healthcare, our system of laws, and our very culture change...WE really are in trouble. Taking comfort in saying this or that political party told you so doesn't do much to begin the movement towards those values which are said to have been changed or lost.
