Sorry, but it was torture. I couldn't bear it after he started out with " In 1971 I met a girl." He was the perfect sleeping aid. How he could tell his fable with a straight face has everyone astonished.

I enjoyed his speech. I also enjoyed Obama's. But when Obama started his speech "Twelve years ago" I was sure he was going to say something similar just for a laugh.

I have seen Clinton and Obama make lot's of jokes over the years. I have listened to many hours of Trump speeches, tv shows and documentaries and I have never heard him make a single joke. That's not normal.

He said he was joking when he asked the Russians to use espionage against a Presidential nominee. No punchline though. He constantly tries to walk back stupid ideas that pop into his head and out his mouth.

Perhaps Donald, unlike Obie does not fancy himself as a comedian and since he has already been successful on TV, does not need to prove himself to be an entertainer, like Obie seems to have the need to.

So, unlike the entertainer-in-chief, perhaps Trump takes the job seriously. It's obvious that Obie does not.
