Plan to cancel mine in the morning.

I had all the papers filled out ready to join till last week.....yesterday morning I thru all my AARP papers in the trash.

I cancelled by membership more than 10 years ago when I realized that AARP was run by a select group of people, most of whom would not qualify for membership, for their own gain. As an AARP member, you will never have the opportunity to vote for the leadership here in Florida, much less the national officers. You will never hear dissenting views presented. AARP has never been about representing older Americans, but rather about making money and promoting the Democrat Party.

We cancelled our AARP membership last week due to the fact that the organization is supporting Obama's health plan, which we do not.

I cannot cancel it as it is sent to my wife....I will browse through it though...so as to "know what my enemy is up to." My wife gets a kick out of my "grumbling" hehehe

I have canceled everything I had connected with AARP except Prescription coverage which is not covered by my now-current secondary insurance.

Any suggestions?

I threw my renewal notice in the circulation file aka garbage. I too am disgusted with them and have been a member for over 15 years. A lot of my friends and family have also cancelled theirs too.
