Well, if there is a rally of any kind by any of the candidates, it will be important for the planners to remember that there is no place at the gazebos at Lake Sumter Landing or Spanish Springs to be able to be in front of the audience and have a telepromter plugged in at the same time....

Default Today's paper

The paper today says she IS indeed coming....apparently it was suppose to rain...but now it should be fine....

I guess I would imagine she won't have too many people in attendance...they are just having it at the square....I bet if Obama were ALLOWED to come then we would be at the Polo Field!!

Conn8757,

I've read that too and it makes me wonder what's wrong with the world in which we live. Maybe Palin's personal hygiene products in the garbage will be the next thing through which these bottom feeders snoop, it's disgusting! No wonder John McCain doesn't use a computer, looks like all of us that do use one are stupid. And if Palin's email is be hacked maybe Obamas' or Michelles' email or yours and mine is next.

I'm also put off by the references of throwing tomatoes at the political candidates made in this forum. These candidates, whether we agree with their policies or not, are running to serve US and our country and at least deserve basic repect. I'm sure the comments were made in jest but any reference to physical attack of any of the candidates makes me very nervous. There are people who walk a very thin line in regards to sanity and God forbid they would take any of these references a step further and pick up a gun. We've lived that in this country and those were our worst days!

When Bush was here there was a stage set up over by the radio station area. Trees were temprarily removed and bleachers set up for VIP's. The gazebo was not used that day.
When there was a rally at SS with Lee Greenwood there were Democrats hanging around with signs. When interviewed they said they wanted to see and hear Lee Greenwood but did not want anyone to think they were Republicans.

Chelsea,
Your husband is a republican?? WOW.....that is interesting. Is that a subject you just do not discuss, or is it a source of some lively conversations in your home?

I can see it now, both of you fighting over the television, switching from Fox news to MSNBC and back....

It's nice when we have different views and still all play nice in the same sandbox.

I am surprised then they would go through all that trouble...why not just use the polo fields...there everyone could sit on their golf carts and listen.....makes more sense and much less work for TV's....

IMHO...
In any case thanks for sharing the information....

"also put off by the references of throwing tomatoes at the political candidates reference to physical attack of any of the candidates makes me very nervous."

Any threats of this type are now treated 'very seriously.' It would be very unwise for anyone to indicate that they may bring possible harm or upset to any political figure. It isn't the sixties anymore.

I am thinking that it was not a "threat" just something said in jest....while I can understand Peachie's sentiments and agree that these are scary times....I would imagine that here on TOTV a tomato throwing reference was just a joke...

This is after all TOTV....and there are a lot of silly people here....

OK, now, I wasn't really going to throw tomatoes! Did you think I was? Hmmm. You've got to be kidding. I wouldn't walk across the street to see her, much less go into the town square.

As far as respect goes, that's not going to happen. I don't respect this woman for accepting a position she's clearly not equipped for. And I clearly don't respect her stands on anything. Every time she opens her mouth (even yesterday) she inserts her foot!

Lighten up folks!

If you can't respect Palin for accepting a job she is not qualified for, how can you respect Obama for running for President? He has fewer qualifications then she does??
