Default Stimulus package

So the government already has 700 billion of our tax money for bailouts (working great so far) and now they want another 1 trillion for an economic stimulus package which include tax breaks for people that don’t pay taxes in the first place and even more billions for “infrastructure” projects that will take years maybe even a decade before they see the light of day.

Energy, roads and bridges they say will create millions of jobs. Everyone knows it takes years just for environmental impact studies before even a shovel full is turned not to mention all the lawsuits and corruption that happen while the government awards contracts.

Obama says he’s going to get the money by taxing the rich. Sorry to tell you but the top 10% already pay 70% of the governments take. There simply isn’t enough money for Obama to redistribute. That means they’ll be coming for your wallet and your kids wallets to. Don’t forget the trillions it will take for government sponsored health care, etc, etc, etc. Yes... change is coming.

I simply can’t comprehend why the American people just sit by and watch the government tax and spend us into oblivion. Once the new government is in place you are going to see the largest private sector grab for money in American History. No government in the history of the world has ever successfully taxed and spent itself into prosperity. But I'm sure it will work this time.

I have an idea. Want to turn the economy around in just months? Instead of the government spending our 1 trillion, how about we spend it? No taxes for 6 – 9 months including capital gains and corporate taxes. My bet is you’d see an economic boom.

It's easy to create $700 billion - or any amount, for that matter. You just tell the Mint to print more money.

A long time ago we came off the Gold Standard, which required that the amount of money in circulation could not be more than the value of the gold reserves. Now, the "value" of the "collateral" keeps fluctuating so that the "value" is arbitrarily raised and more is printed to match the arbitrary value.

The real "value of currency" is the international exchange, and against that the dollar (intentially NOT capitalized!) shrinks on a daily basis, except against the very few countries whose monetary system is worse-run than ours.

We used to joke about it taking a truckoad of Italian Lira (and other such currencies) to buy a loaf of bread. Now, the joke's on us.
