That is not what you said before and I quote:

"There will be no up or down vote, there will be a clean slate because there will not be anything to vote on."

These were your words and I have only been trying to tell you that this was wrong.

Well, what I meant is that there will not be a vote on record that can go back and bite the politicians. They will not take responsibility for any cuts in the budget. They will have a free pass like Obama voting "present". The so-called committee will take the heat but everybody will get re-elected.
They will vote yes or no but the "cuts" will not come back and haunt them. I know you know what I mean.

Most, if not all bills, go through committees before being brought to the floor for a vote. The main difference on this committee is that it is made up of senators and representatives, and when brought to the floor of each house, cannot be amended but must be voted either for or against.

Any senator or representative is free to vote their conscience and can be held accountable for their vote. I don't know how you can say that they will not be.

As far as me knowing what you mean, as I have pointed out, you have been making false statements in your prior posts and I have been trying to show you where the statements are wrong.

I happen to think it is good that they created this committee, because there is better chance of getting something done with a small group, rather than a couple hundred trying to protect their turf.

It is still a cop-out no matter how you want to twist it.
