I can only speak for myself. I'd like to think I'm independent and open minded. I have been persuaded to change my opinion when an opposing view is substantiated with links from credible sources.
From what I am reading on these threads there are a lot more liberals than one. Although it would be funny to a be a moderator and know that only two very bored people are writing all the posts. |

I too wonder.
Watch PATH TO THE WHITE HOUSE ON CNN. Not sure if it says things are not as bad as they seem OR, in politics things were never as good as we remember. |

I believe that the subject of the thread was based on violence of the left. It was based on the current trend of disruptions at the Trump political rallies. How far are you all going to get from the subject of the thread? There is no rule against starting a new thread. If you want to hijack the thread, take it elsewhere.

Did Dick Cheney said the Iraq war would only cost 21 billion dollars and that Iraq would pay for it? YES Iraq war: Predictions made, and results - CSMonitor.com Did George W Bush land on an aircraft carrier and declare major combat operations were over? See for yourself https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzrJwzYBUkU Did he leave office with us still fighting an endless war? YES Did he make a mess and didn't clean it up? YES Did GWB authorize torture for prisoners of war?YES I could go on but why? You BLAME OBAMA FOR EVERYTHING You want freedom of religion and cry there is a WAR ON CHRISTMAS when someone says Seasons Greetings. You want your country back and on some points I could agree with that. I wish that Corporations would not ship jobs overseas so that the younger generation had a chance at a Middle Class life. I will leave you with this... In November think of my nephew who will deploy to the region for 7 months, hope as I hope that he does not return with a Purple Heart like his brother. And think of his mother and I as we live with fear once again for those 7 months. |
That was against the law.

I shared that my nephew was deploying to the Middle East but you said nothing about that. Your response tells me everything I understand Republicans to be! |

While I applaud your nephew's service to his country, just exactly what have you done. Those on the Left have no problem sharing in the accomplishments of others. |
It's just a matter of time before there are drones here.
Do you really have to tell your whole life's story to have an opinion? |

[QUOTE=Guest;1203211]Democrats that voted FOR the war in Iraq:
Don't you find it interesting that both Sanders and Trump were against the war? So was Dean. It's hard to find too much on Trump making that point. In a way I would feel more comfortable if he said "that it was difficult knowing what was best for America. I understood both sides." But that would be changing history. |

IMINT collection showed evidence of biological lab facilities capable of making WMDs. That's a proven, and I was privy to such information as an Intelligence analyst. Mass burials of thousands of bodies killed by poisonous gas (WMDs) prove that Sadamm DID have WMD's to kill those people. The time period between the intel and the actual invasion of Iraq was such that anyone could have walked the WMDs out of the country. That said, lets go to the undeniable reason that we were justified in attacking Iraq. Iraq violated the NO FLY ZONE consistently, daring us to do something about it. That violation warranted/justified the attack on Iraq. It's real easy to blame Bush for not leaving Iraq, but the point has been proven that Obama DID leave Iraq way too early. You talk about thousands of military lives taken? Did those military members get drafted? Or did they volunteer? Military members do not go into the service expecting never to have to go to war. They train for war. They are patriotic. Do not demean them by telling them that they fought for nothing. It was bad enough that liberals did that to us during Vietnam. Do not do it again. In Vietnam we lost near 60,000 lives and then another 50,000 by suicide afterward. People like you were a contributing factor to the suicides, I'm sure. How many million were killed in the World Wars? The battle of Gettysburg resulted in 50,000 Americans killed in that one battle. I am not demeaning the deaths in Iraq. Far be it that I would dishonor them. And you shouldn't either. They deserve ALL of our support and respect. So, when you get done throwing stones at Bush, take a good look at your president right now. Terrorists attacks and what is he doing? Doing the wave at a CUBAN ball game, and then doing the Salsa in Argentina. Heaven help him if he was to break his trend and do his job. Hillary says she plans to continue Obama's agenda. Just what we need, four more years like the last seven failed years. |

Oh, And he was against election year appointments. And He was against gay marriage I've seen women (no PC here) that have changed their minds less when rearranging furniture. |
And which president was responsible for the U.S. entering the Vietnam War? Oh yeah, a Democrat named President LB Johnson. Almost 60,000 American troops died there. Do we hold that against him? Not anyone that I know of. But, the left is sure adamant about it being another war that we shouldn't have been involved in. And yet, they leave his name out of it. Go figure.
And now, back to our feature program and thread............. |

I deplore the Republican's use our troops as Cannon Fodder in wars that have no impact on the US. 1st Gulf 2nd Gulf ( Iraq did not arrack us) Obama left Iraq to early...perhaps you missed the part that Iraq told the US to leave. U.S. Troops Are Leaving Because Iraq Doesn't Want Them There - The Atlantic Obama was on a diplomatic trip which included a baseball game...was the United States attacked during the game? As for him dancing the only thing I can say is he dances better than GWB. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqy91GnS-Bg You have been watching Faux News and are just repeating the party line. |

The fact that both were democrats does not matter. Were all those demonstrators in the 60's the sons and daughters of angry republicans? This isn't a ball game or Chevy is better than Ford. It's not always about the party. Who is the party of slavery and the KKK? You don't get any points for either question. It's about understanding how we got to where we are and how we can give our children a better chance in life. Isn't that what old age teaches us? |
