The real problem is that at his core, he exhibits the worst of human traits...and is proud of it.

It has become obvious to me, that a big part of his appeal for his hardcore supporters (thank goodness that is less than 1/3 of Americans) is that he makes it OK for them to come out of their heretofore facade of civility...and to let their basest feelings/nature come forth and be shown.

They feel that a huge weight has been lifted and that they can quit pretending not to be racists, bigots, braggarts, liars, embellishers, sociopaths, etc., etc., etc.

How in the world so many in this great nation can have such an ugly and mean underbelly...still astonishes and saddens me as a patriotic American.

That this is now being demonstrated in front of the civilized world...is the single biggest legacy that Trump will leave.

Sad.
