I really do not see however what Santorum or the religious position against contraception has anything to do with my objection to our President (NOT our dictator) ORDERING a private business to provide goods and services FREE. Where does he get that authority? I totally agree with you that contraction should be the choice of the individual.

And worse yet, NOTHING is free.. His solution is to ORDER a business to give it to the objecting Catholics FREE which will mean that company will get that money from the non objectors to pay for the FREE objectors coverage. THAT is NOT fair.

Why not just say policies can include contraction or not, choice of the BUYER?
JJ
There is a HUGE difference between STATES RIGHTS and FEDERAL MANDATES. Wasn't the civil war based on STATES rights versus the Federal government ?

Pretty obscure quote to apply to this.

I don't feel anybody should be passing laws one way or the other to decide who gets what in health care.

This should ALWAYS be a personal right, not mandated, not denied!

The BS still exists about the "right" trying to take womens health care rights away. It is hyped because it helps the cause. When the left is done using women to push their agenda they will drop them and move on to the next group of Americans they can use for their cause, what ever it is.
Where is your outrage when it comes to government trampling on religious rights that are actually part of the constitution.
Now I am confused..... The Catholic Bishops, in regard to the Affordable Healthcare Act, said they would not cover employees for contraception. That is what started this....

I don't see anyone trampling my religious rights... We have freedom of religion here in the US. I was a victim in the 50's when I was forced to read from an non-Catholic bible in school but we fixed that over the years.

Providing a link would be useless...you don't trust a the "Liberal Media" ABC is the liberal media.

So the Bishops said they could not provide this medication to their employees, so the administration said we will take it out of the employers mandate and transfer it to the insurance company. Your problem seems to be that these women are getting some for free and you are not.

How would you solve the problem???

Oh, well then. That takes care of that. Now that I know this it will make my choice easier! Really?

I think you could say that about your/our president. His ideas are out of this world. Maybe that is why he defunded NASA? That way we won't find out what planet he came from.

Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck support Santorum. That should be enough to make you cringe at the sound of his name.

I am still in shock that in this free country people still think he has the right to ORDER me to buy ONLY the type of insurance that HE thinks I should have.
Who the heck does he think he is.
IMPEACH HIM.

I think he thinks he is the president. Do you recall when Cheney said, when asked how he felt knowing the american people do not support the war in iraq, SO? So let's not pretend that Obama is the first guy to not care what you think. Obama had the religious right on one hand and the women of america on the other. Women's groups applied equal pressure to have the mandate that birth control be funded. Once again, if you don't believe in birth control DON"T USE it, but you have no right to take that away from women who want and need it. Do you think Catholics don't use birth control?

As for insurance, let me tell you, you are paying for every person who does not have insurance. You are paying for illegals getting health care. You are paying for the idiots who don't use seat belts and drive drunk.

I have a much simpler solution. If you don't have the required insurance, then you don't get treated when you are ill and injured. Do you like that alternative better?

Does the Catholic Church pay for boner medication? Most likely so....Hypocrites!!!!
LOL...good post!! I have said for years that the right wing wants government out of everything but the most personal and private decisions of your life. And I have asked many many times where are the right wingers once that child is born ie: programs to help the families support a child that they could not care for. The kind of never answer that.

With that logic I can point to many who's support of Romney would make me question his candidacy.

John McCain would be the biggest warning sign to me. Donald Trump and his political lunacy is another.

As for much closer to home, meaning this forum, your cheering for Romney is not a good endorsement in my view.

You owe me now, because I lumped you in with these big names.

That's more respect than you've ever given me.

OK.. one last time.
This is not just about me disagreeing with President Obama. All presidents have citizens disagree with them.
My problem is the President thinking he can ORDER private businesses to order companies to provide goods and services FREE.
Do you not see how dangerous that is?
If you own a business will you be ok with President Obama telling you to provide your goods and services FREE to his political allies... women, minorities.. etc?
If you say ok.. then you must be ok with President Santorum ORDERING your business to provide your goods and services FREE to his allies.. Catholics, right wingers, the RICH..
I am CERTAIN you would not be ok with that.
It is the end of this country as we know it if the President can really do this.

Regarding me paying in my premiums for others who do not have insurance. I do NOT agree with that also.
I have no problem with STATES taxing for health care for citizens IF their CONSTITUTIONS allow it. I would not support it but I do not deny the authority of STATES to do it if they choose to do so. I can then move to another STATE if I choose.

This country for most of its history did not have socialized medicine. We do not need it now. I am fine with that.

My final point is there is no such thing as FREE. When President Obama says they must provide it free.. what he means is they must SHIFT the cost to their other customers.

I do not support Santorum and will not defend his indefensible positions. I think most Repubs are worse than DEMS because Dems tell you they are for big spending government, and they vote for them. Repubs say they are NOT big spenders but they still do, so they have two problems.. they are big spenders and they lie about it also.

No I think it has been defunded or the budget cut back to janitors only kind of budget.

No, I don't agree with colony on the moon. I think we need to figure out how to colonize this one before we go screw up another one.

As far as Kenya, I think there is a Kenya on Mars. It's kind of like the city of USA in China.

But this has been an accepted fact for years in the Church!

In another thread I stated that I worked for a Catholic organization for 13 years. They did not cover birth control pills and I was ok with that...I understood why they did what they did.

Yes, I was a sinner and bought my own medication...and I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT! It is what it is.

What gives Mr. Obama the right to mandate anything that the Church decrees. He should just STAY OUT OF IT!
