And, why would he not have the right to complain? He was forced to pay into the government mandated system wasn't he? Do feel that just because he doesn't "need" social security income, that you and your ilk deserve to share it?

Liberals always like to share in the success of others...a truly pathetic bunch.

Same difference. And Happiness is seeing Obama's rear bumper leaving D.C. whether it's his time or his TIME to leave.

You - "and your ilk"- love to bitch and moan about the big bad government forcing you to pay into SS. You are getting back lots more than you ever paid into it - and your spouses also get SS even if they never worked a job. They also will get the survivors benefits long after your carcasses are in the grave.

In answer to your question, means testing is right. If you do not need it, give it up!

Yours is a false narrative. If the government means tests my income to determine my social security eligibility, and it is determined that I am not eligible to receive said benefits owing to my income, then I would actually receive NOTHING, not the "more than you ever paid into it" that you claim.

Ah, you are wrong again, Dogbreath!

At the current time, there is not means testing for Social Security benefits. At the current time, you will receive more than you paid into it.

At some future time - IF there was means testing - you would be right about not receiving your money back plus more. It would be like any other tax at that time - IF means testing ever comes about.

So who is going to determine the limit on income? Are they going to tell us that we make too much so we don't deserve the money that we were forced to contribute? How about if I don't make very much in my retirement? Are they going to give me more? Who determines if one "needs it" or not? If my car breaks down and I can't afford a replacement, and my neighbor has two cars, can I take one of his?

It must be nice to know EXACTLY much I have paid into the social security system and EXACTLY how long I will live, and EXACTLY how much I will receive in social security benefits. Perhaps, you should be a fortune teller - DOGBREATH!

We should be getting back even more than we do, but the gov borrows it instead of investing it to gain on it. If they would have invested my SS in just about anything, it would increased in value and I would be getting more back. If you don't believe that, then check out something as simple as the Federal Thrift Savings Plan. They won't because congress would lose all control of our money and that would not be good. They would not be able to use that money.
