Periodically culling the herd is healthy for the remaining. Our planet is finite yet we continue to reproduce and life extend. Our resources are being depleted, our air is polluted. Less people equals a healthier planet and healthier humans. Seems logical to me.

Scientists have been warning of the next great plague. If only the Bill Gates of this world would use their great wealth to educate the most populous nations, such as India and some in Africa, about birth control, I think it would help. I wish we had universal sex education starting in sixth grade and universal free contraception everywhere.

It IS logical. Already we push farther and farther, deeper and deeper to get to the resources we NEED. The low hanging fruit is all gone. Now we have to pump oil from the arctic, out in cold rough oceans, many many thousands of feet deep.
