Default Wow! Long Lines

This is only the second day for early voting, but the lines at the Sumter County Annex on CR 466 are getting longer. I drove by today and the cars were parked all the way out on the grass near the feeder road, a lot more than yesterday. A couple coming out said they had waited 90 minutes to vote.

I saw another report this morning showing huge lines waiting to vote at Florida State University. They even had the Seminole marching band out entertaining the voters who were waiting.

Wow! This looks like it's going to be a record turnout. I guess circumstances have really gotten people's attention.

Yes. Lines are long there too but not as long as the Sumter County Annex judging by the number of people parked at the Belvedere Library when I have driven past the past two days.

Default gov office Wildwood

I voted there this morning, my wife and I were in and out in less than ten minutes. I was the 922 voter at that location.

Thumbs up

I voted at the library today. Got in line at 10:30 and walked out at 11:30. It's good to see the heavy voting.

Default I am still now sure for whom to vote??

My mind is still not made up about whom to vote for in the Presidential race as well as some of the judges' contests. And, I have to do more research on the 8 FL Constitutional Amendments.

I will be early voting when I get back to The Villages. Having said that, I really don't believe early voting should be allowed. Things happen in the last few weeks that could change a person's mind. I know it has happened to me and I had no recourse, because I had already voted. While I'm on my soapbox I also think polls should open and close at the same time, across the country, including Hawaii. I know this would take some doing, but I think it could be done. AND I don't think exit polling should be allowed. Just one more effert by the media to influencce the results. Waiting until the next day to get the results won't kill us.

Wow!

I think early voting is the best thing since sliced bread!

There are people, (not me) that have to work for a living. They should have every chance to have a voice.

My idea is to have one WEEK of regular voting so the poor working slob had a way to cast thier vote.

Anyhoo, vote early and often

Tony

Back in the days when I was working they didn't have early voting. I always made it to the polls. The polls could be open for longer hours. It could be a national holiday, whatever. There are all sorts of things that could be done to make it easier, for voters to make it to the polls on election day.

We just got back home (Plantation, Florida) from the Villages this afternoon and went to vote....we waited in line for 2 1/2 hrs. so 90 minutes sounds good....

I just voted at the Belvedere Library. Stood in a 25 people line at 8:50 a.m. but was out of there by 9:15 a.m.

It looked like from the voter tally of ballots put in the slot that I was about number #2260??

Default Only 40 Minutes At The Annex On Thursday

I was told that the lines had been much longer earlier in the week and even today. Forty minutes wasn't too bad. I asked one of the ladies in voting office what kind of turnout they were expecting. She said that they thought it possible that there would be an 82% turnout in The Villages.
