Well actually she does. The only reason that I got a degree, took me 22 years, military career interferred with schooling, was to get the GI Bill bennies while I was also working. Didn't need the college degree but wanted the bennies. Did very well in high school, attended DOD Oversea school for HS in Japan and was way ahead of those that attended HS in the states. They actualy taught us something in the DOD Schools.

Do I understand correctly that your education was largely the result of government programs encouraging and enabling people to advance their education and the economic benefits that result? Interesting that we have one presidential candidate that argues that such government involvement is all wrong and should be eliminated. In fact, he home schools his kids. Would you have gotten the additional "bennies" with a home school diploma?

No, I went only for the bennies. Did not need the advanced degree, never used it, stayed where the money was/is and did very well. Just used what was promised to me for: 1. Getting shot at, 2. Go where I was told to go even if I did not want to go, IE., Senior trip RVN, four time, 3. Keeping you safe.

Sure would have with the "home school diploma." Most of those kids can read and write, as opposed to those that get a "public" education.

Is that good enough for you or do you need more examples.

If it's Santorum, maybe Joe the Plumber will be dragged out to campaign. Then again, maybe not. His schedule may be full campaigning for his own election to the House from Ohio's 9th district. Maybe they'll find Charlie the Coalminer to put down that Harvard-educated snob.
Is it any different than you bashing every Republican candidate?

Two interesting facts; Rick Santorum has three college degrees compared to President Obama's two degrees. Unemployment rates for college graduates hovers in the 5% range, while non-college graduates is 13%.

And yet Santorum is such an idiot redneck racist. I guess education is not the answer to all problems.
