I too was in PA - two weeks ago - and after living there for over 70 years I see nothing unusual -- except hyper climate alarmist media up there too. This graph was created using NOAA's climatological data stations for PA. Notice the long-term cooling trend of maximum temperatures. Regarding flooding -- I lived right on the Delaware River -- and saw much greater flooding in size and frequency in the past -- when CO2 levels were much lower.

Glad you like the graphic. That and hundreds more are periodically used at The Weather Club presentations to demonstration "data" versus "narrative". The Villages Weather Club

Freakin' is not a meteorological term, but I get the message. In these days of modern, reliable temperature records (which is only about 140 years out of billions of years), 2024 will probably be recorded as the hottest -- for one good reason which the media still refuses to say -- Tonga Volcano -- which will be explained in detail at the next Weather Club meeting ... The Villages Weather Club . PS ... despite the warmth, global warming is slowing down -- even though CO2 continues upward.

Wow. This graphic strongly supports a theory I've been developing. Notice the four most recent peaks, during the Minoan civilization, the peak of the Roman Empire, the Renaissance development of civilized Europe, and today. All four of these periods were characterized by an excess of political discussion as society re-arranged itself.

Obviously, the source of global warming is the hot air caused by political rhetoric! The ice core record shows it!

Of course, I don't know about those other two peaks at 8000 and 7000 years ago. Apparently, those were before God created the Earth.

Didn’t know there were people with thermometers here 5000 years ago. It is hotter in the time of recorded temperatures maybe 200 years.

Those past peaks can be explained by the Eddy (1,000 yr) solar cycles (see image). This is discussed in the The Weather Club's "Why Climates Change" talk. This and many other talks are presented to many Villages groups - upon request. PS ... it's the sun (and an occasional volcano) - not CO2.

Prior to modern day instruments, we have many different method of obtaining past climate information -- everything from temperature to the amount of oxygen, CO2 and many other elements in the air and land and ocean. These are called proxies - which include radio-carbon dating. We have numerous proxies telling up earth was much warmer many times in the past when CO2 levels were much lower. See image for a good example -- where none of the climate models can replicate -- which is more evidence they all fail.

I see way more climate talk in this forum than I do from the media. Even though I might agree with most of what you say, it’s overload nonetheless. It seems you must always have one of these threads running. It’s like the new dog poop of the forum. And you push the Weather Club so hard I have to wonder if you get a commission for every new body you bring in. lol

All Weather Club talks are free -- in and outside the Villages -- and even as far as Gainesville. People from across the US and even Canada have asked for these talks, because they see the subjects posted here -- because most want to hear the data versus the narrative ... The Villages Weather Club

Not controllable cause majority across world don’t want to walk. Don’t spout electric cause less than 1% in world are electrified.

Yes normally after Hurricanes pass by, you have a cooling period. Basically hurricanes are a mechanism to average out the hot temperatures of the equator and the cold temperatures of northern Canada and the Arctic. Hot temperatures will probably return to Florida in late August since the surrounding waters in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf are above average temperatures. We have been having lots of rain (grass is growing fast and lots of lawn mowing required) because warmer air holds more moisture.
.........It is interesting that the warmer oceans make the ocean waters rise and threaten low lying cities - like Miami. But there may be an offsetting factor - melting glaciers around Antarctica could make the oceans cooler - that is new research from scientists. Apparently, there are many factors to consider.

Unfortunately, looking at a graph of Earth temperatures, we see a large rise in temperature in the last 5 years. The reason for the increased HEAT - as provided by over 90% of climate scientists IS that factory pollution and gas and diesel automobiles produce a gas that adversely affects HEAT reflection from the upper atmosphere. This is going to get worse each year until the world switches to Electric Vehicles in LARGE numbers. Plus somehow the Earth's population must level off. NOTE -----look at a graph of the recent LARGE increase in population. Its recent rise is similar to the increase in Earth temperature.

Sorry about your bad experience. If you get a chance to look at post 28 here. There is a brief explanation of the reason for those recent changes in the world climate. Many people are avoiding the question of "WHY" this is happening. And try NOT to be dazzled by the many graphs found on page 2.
