The odd thing is you don't understand that no one is arguing with you about the glacial cycles. They have happened in the past, they will happen in the future, and nothing we can do today will change that. The climate is warming and will continue to warm for some time. Hopefully, humans will be able to survive that warming but I won't be around to find out.

What the scientific consensus is trying to tell you is that human activity is speeding up that warming. The warmer it gets the more unpredictable and dangerous storms are. Colder winters, hotter summers, more serious droughts, heavier rains. It's gonna happen sometime, it's gonna get worse as it does, but we don't have to help it along.

On the other hand, it doesn't much matter what nine out of ten Villagers have to say. Global and National policies are not going to be influenced by a bunch of retirees arguing about roundabouts, dog poop, and how their confirmation-biased web surfing matters more than the xx years of climate research.

Confirmation bias is real; I can find any number of articles that say so.

all voices are important. An inconvenient truth laid out everything being discussed in this forum. Some will dismiss it, some will accept it, in the end let's hope wise world wide leadership can plan a better future for the generations to come . In the end there is no alternative but to discuss and come to consensus for all and chose pragmatic options.

Well said. Now, that is what we mean by “free country” in my opinion.
