The jet stream cools daily temperatures depending on which part of the stream you are located. Unfortunately, the Weather Channel never discusses this; however it will be discussed Monday, June 10 at 1 PM at the Science & Technology Club meeting at Bridgeport. If you look at the upper-air charts you'll see that the western branch of the jet stream is over Mexico - but it's relative orientation to any specific location is key to temperature change.
