It's too damn hot. I could go for a good ice age for a while. Funny how humans seem to think they know better than Mother Nature.

The good news---the next ice age is coming
The bad news----it won't be here for another 35-70,000 years

Wait until the Yellowstone Super volcano erupts. We are all gone
Quite true. Unfortunately, the cabal of government, universities and the mainstream media have managed to brainwash the gullible into thinking SUVs are going to destroy the world in the near future.

Could this phenomenon be why the humidity is so low? At 3:15 pm today it was 97 degrees outside. According to The Weather Channel app the humidity was 49 percent. I went outside to water the plants (forgot to last night) and never broke into a sweat.

Modern weather stats are only comparable for about 70 years old at best. .
I suspect some Hurricane data has been kept since the time of the Phoenicians, who invented maritime insurance. Insurance claims for hurricane damage are certainly available in insurance company’s records, though obviously not in the detail of modern day weather related science.

Correct. There are spotty records of those stronger storms that made landfall, but they can not compare to today's full-earth satellite coverage. However, researchers have done great work recovering some records going back 1,000 years ... Just a moment...
