Tropical storm science is smarter than marble guessing. I have made forecasts for over 100 tropical storms, including the world's largest, Super Typhoon Tip, and issued more than 500 storm bulletins -- so I know a bit about that stuff. Gordon was a borderline tropical storm and should never been named such.
