.......But, unfortunately, the John Wayne cowboy frontier mentality is ingrained into Americans. It has captured their minds !
The NRA doesn't sell a single gun. How does that make them rich?

I know who can do the test flights. They should prove they really care. Planes, cars, boats, homes, etc.

But, the recent war in the Ukraine has caused some problems that could affect Global Warming somewhat. There are or were (may have been plugged) 3 holes in a natural gas pipeline lying at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. It sent Russian natural gas to Europe. The pipe was in VERY deep water and probably needed a special submarine to blow those 3 holes. Russia was suspected of doing it itself to drive up the world price for natural gas.
........Anyway, the 3 holes were (or still are) GUSHING gas that rises to the upper atmosphere and adds to the blanket that IS making the world hotter by record amounts in the last 8 years. (Despite the opinion to the contrary expressed by my friends with the fashionable TIN-FOIL hats !!!!!!! )

One BIG problem with Global Warming today is that it causes farmers and other poor populations in South America and Africa to start starving and begin MIGRATING northward into America and Europe. If they succeed in getting there they will INCREASE their environmental FOOTPRINT greatly - producing GREATER pollution, which AGAIN goes up to the upper atmosphere and acts as a BLANKET holding in the Earth's heat. It is sad from a humanitarian perspective, but don't blame me.......I am just the messenger.
Like the Venus runaway greenhouse effect, a nuclear winter is also fantasy -- and both pushed by Sagan -- like Al Gore pushes man-made climate change. Scare mongering is big business.

They sell a magazine that makes money and the NRA exists to drum up business for the Gun manufacturers. Everyone knows that. I was aware of that in 6th grade.

As far as climate change, I find it interesting. First of all it was GLOBAL WARMING now it has changed to CLIMATE CHANGE. Climate is and always has been changing.

I find it spooky how easy it is to start panics. Al Gore has turned this into a personal gold mine. Reality, I suggest all READ. Fifty years ago the concern was global cooling.
Lacking was only Al Gore to fly in his own personal Jet to tell others we should not burn fossil fuels. It is tough for people to see, to realize they are being had especially when others are PARROTING the same. Far as fossil fuels my carbon foot print is vastly reduced. I am retired and no longer producing anything.

Anybody remember Y2K? Space Invaders? Covid 19? It is shockingly to create MASS PANIC.
I am afraid that it is NOT logical to equate Covid, which was a REAL national problem causing over One Million Deaths, with Y2K and space invaders.

But to single out guns is silly. Everything produces carbon/greenhouse as it is created, some may or may not as they are used. All organic matter creates carbon/greenhouse gas as it decays, and I suppose a gun would as it rusts, or if it is melted down to create something else.

Climate change makes me think of the "elixir salesman" as he would go from town to town. His pitch was his elixir would cure everything, regardless of what it was. Climate change is the current "cure-all" product. Another word for such a product is snake oil.

Which is kind of what climate change is.

So, the chances that I'm going to eat some plant based vegetarian crap instead of a juicy NY strip steak are about the same as winning the lottery 20 times in a row, maybe less.

And of course, if we all ate that plant crap, it would reverse 23,000 years of global warming. Can anyone spell d-e-l-u-s-i-o-n-a-l?
Pigs and humans are omnivores. Sheep and cows are strictly herbivores. I know that cows have 2 separate stomachs that somehow cause them to outgas more gas than humans. And I believe the cow's flatulence has more of the gas variety that is detrimental to the upper atmosphere.
......That's the way I understand it. And right now somehow, I don't feel that motivated to Google the small details.

Personally, I think that it would be better if we talked to (and about) each other like POLITE ADULTS, rather than the opposite.

I have a gut feeling that cows have one stomach with four compartments.

Ditto. The U.N. says ... "Disarmament is especially important for climate protection." For those that believe that I have a ski resort in The Villages to sell you.

I grew up on a farm. My grandfather and my father owned cows and I never heard one of them fart. Horses yep, pigs yep, my grandfather and my father yep, they all farted, but cows don't. Cows do poop a lot though and in copious amounts.

We must be related. My family members all participated in the same gaseous behaviors -- and even the dog. History repeatedly shows that the best way to force people to do things they would never do using a logical mind -- is by scaring them to death -- whether it's health, global warming, etc.

"gut feeling" even a herbivore would get a laugh out of that one. One stomach 4 compartments, 2 stomachs 2 compartments, 3 French hens, and a partridge placing droplets on a blue Corvette.

There IS something (?) about that post that does make me fear for America.
