Lake Griffin State Park

Silver Springs State Park
Features: Canoeing and kayaking, hiking, wildlife viewing, geocaching, camping, bicycling and horseback riding. The park’s famous glass bottom boat rides run daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and cost $11 for adults and $10 for children 6 to 12 and seniors 55 and up.
Entrance fees: $8 for vehicles with two to eight occupants; $5 for single-occupant vehicles and motorcycles; $4 per vessel launch fee for personal canoe and kayak launches; $2 for pedestrians and bicyclists

Rainbow Springs State Park
Features: Tubing, snorkeling, swimming, canoeing and kayaking, hiking, geocaching, wildlife viewing and camping. Tubing hours are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on weekends in April, May and September. A tube rental and shuttle from the tubing entrance to the Rainbow River costs $20 per person. Park staff noted that tubing on the river during summer weekends can be extremely busy.
