Default 48V/150ah LFP Golf Cart Batteries

Amazon is now listing some 48v/150ah LFP batteries...Some with charger and charge meter included...Around $1800 with coupon. The 150ah should get about 60 miles of range in a cart with efficient modern AC motors. The 105ah are just not large enough for TV, IMO.

$1800 is phenomenal. I paid $3300 for my 105a EcoBattery a couple years ago.
In my DS that gets me close to 50miles.
Now that a Lead Acid bank runs over a $1000, you'd be foolish to go that route IMO.

IMHO, read the reviews, I always read the 1 star reviews first. Next check out the manufacturer, unfortunately there are substandard suppliers out there and these maybe subject to more frequent failures. I made the mistake of getting third party replacement batteries for my computer, they lasted around 3 months, had to get OEM battery after that.

unfortunately, the US economic strategy is the lowest cost producer wins, regardless of quality. Quality has always been an issue with chinese goods, as far back as the 1970s, when quality matters for longevity.

The problem is that most if not all LIFEPO4 (LifePo) batteries are made in China, and some are resold, or others are assembled here in US, and then sold. Finding the best US assemblers with the best quality control for the best price is the consumers' responsibility under US economic policy. .

good luck

Lithium conversion is not for the risk adverse. Some of those batteries can be purchased with a 3 year full replacement/refund warranty thru Amazon/Asurion for about $170.

I built a 150ah pack using EVE cells about 4 years ago when I purchased the cells for $100 each. I am considering building a 314ah pack using EVE or CATL cells now that the price is under $100/cell but I really don't need the 120 mile range. It is better to build your own pack to make sure of quality/grade-A cells and robust BMS but I don't recommend doing it without skillset nor will I build a pack for others. I am also risk adverse
