[quote=crbsoul;449588]Hello....

The CORRECT address to the Animal Emergency Clinic at Buffalo Ridge is

748 Village Campus Circle
The Villages, FL 32162
352-750-4711

Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital is now open 24 hours to serve the ENTIRE community, even if they are not a client of Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Directions:
Take Village Campus Circle north off CR 466 (opposite the Charter School). Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital is located in a large grey building to your left (the west side of Village Campus).

crbsoul pointed out important information .... you do not have to be a client of Buffalo Ridge to use this emergency service.

I hope that you never have to use this emergency service for your pets. But it is just wonderful to have this facility available to us nights and weekends.

For those of us on the "south" side,,, Leesburg is really quite convenient. I brought my dog there the other night at 4am and they were fantastic. He had a severe case of hives and they took him immediately and treated him asap so he was no longer in distress.

Please don't negate the Leesburg facility because they are very good and not inconvenient for us on this end.... Buffalo Ridge would take me FOREVER from Heavenly Hadley.

For those who don't know, they are next to the Comcast office in Leesburg off CR 44. They do close at 7:30am.

Kathie, you are absolutely right! Very good point. For southern residents, Leesburg may be more convenient. I took a critically ill dog there and it seemed to take forever. But then I was terrified, and the dog was in pain. When I did arrive there, I found the service to be great.

I got really excited when I heard about Buffalo Ridge opening for emergency service. We live "mid town", so Buffalo Ridge is minutes away from our home. And for northern residents, it is definitely closer.

But as Kathie points out, Leesburg may be closer for newer areas.

Irish Rover, I'm praying that your pet is doing better. I was there the other day with my Duffy who has developed dementia, recently went deaf and is in the last stage of his liver shunt problem. Dr. Krause is an excellent Vet and has been helpful. She told me that she has not known of a dog living longer than 6 years with this condition and my Duffy is now 13 so I feel that he has a good life filled with lots of love. Of course there is nothing to compare to the unconditional love we receive.

I'm so sorry to hear about Duffy's problems, and I hope he lives a lot longer. We lost our 19 years old Himilayan cat about three weeks ago. She had a wonderful life and lived a long time. But surprisingly, that doesn't make it any easier. I still miss her terribly, and our dogs miss her also. She was such a special little kitty, always good natured and sociable. Our little family just doesn't seem to be complete without her.

Barefoot I'm sorry to hear that your kitty has gone to the Rainbow Bridge and I can only imagine how lost you are without her. 19 years is a long time for a cat to live and I do know how loved she was. I'm sending you a PM.
