Past AALL Annual Meeting Locations (https://www.aallnet.org/conference/more/past-meetings/am-locations-past.html)

I was a pest for these starting in Reno, Nevada in 1989 and going up through the one in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1996. Decided it was a waste of money sending all those snail mail letters out after 1996 to people who were going to go to these conventions. Trying to get them to actually just look at the letters I had received from lawyers, victim/witness assistance providers, Attorney Generals from various States, various association leaders, and many others.

All part of my 224 613 Project. I had been trying to get the help of CEOs, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, movie stars, movie directors, movie studio heads, soap opera stars, soap opera writers, advertisers, etc. to spotlight the problem that these received letters showed.

Future Annual Meeting Dates and Locations (https://www.aallnet.org/conference/education/future-meetings/am-locations.html) Will be interesting to see what happens in these future AALL meetings.

A twist on this. Law libraries collect movies and I wonder if their law students are starting to notice some interesting things going on in these movies since at least 1996's Dustin Hoffman/Rene Russo's Outbreak up through 2016's Passengers. This is not a political subject. This is just an attempt by an insecure little person to justify joining in on the dinner table conversation. Please keep me on your ignore list. I do not want to be accused of contributing to any possible mental instability on your part.

The proper word you should have used is "boor" as in "boorish." I would have thought that a guy that professes to be well learned, would know that. I have no qualms with your use of "boor" or "boorish" in your description of me. In your case, your persistent abuse of your one and only claim to wannabe fame is "boring" making you a "bore."

But hey, different strokes for different folks, is the saying....right?
Have a great day, Jon.

Another little twist on this. While at the U of MN Law Library I had worked under M. Kathleen Price the Law Library Director. She became Law Librarian of Congress around 1990 and was in that position until around 1996 or so. There was an CBS new report around July 6, 1996 that the Library of Congress was challenging whistleblowers and people who wanted to improve things on terms of their mental health rather than addressing their concerns. That is what happened to me at the U of MN Law Library in 1991. Rather than addressing the issue I had with respect to needs of survivors/victims of crimes to practical information the Law Library supervisor of mine probably acting on orders first subtly and then not so subtly put my mental health in question for wanting to talk to FUTURE law library employers about a glaring niche I had found in the delivery system of practical information for victims/survivors of crimes.

I am not saying I have any evidence that M. Kathleen Price was advising this law library supervisor of mine about putting my mental health in question. I was not privy to that information.

I did complain to the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee in 1991 about this-- Senator Joe Biden. Who wrote back that they do not get involved with matters involving only one person. Many US State governors responded unlike this letter from Senator Joe Biden. As did some other US Senators, US Representatives, the Speaker of the House for the State of MN, and others.

So, I have never been much of a fan of that Cheshire Cat Joe Biden. If he had taken a stand in 1991 things would have been a lot different for survivors/victims of crimes in the 1990s as attitudes of law professors towards survivors/victims of crimes rub off on their law students who might become politicians, judges, CEOs, journalists, comedians, and many other professionals.

Things did seem to start changing especially after an interview I had at the Library at the University of Texas at El Paso in late 2001 where it seemed like someone was pulling strings to get me a good position in a law library again. I never learned who this person or group of people might be. UTEP did settle on someone who had been a practicing lawyer unlike me.

There is a connection to Barack Obama in all this that I had feared that Donald Trump would take advantage of in 2012 but he must not have seen the Justice e-mail I had sent back around 2000 which this student newspaper at Brandeis University had re-published in 2011 and that was up on-and-off until 2013 or so. My immediate supervisor at the U of MN Law School had gone onto the U of Chicago Law School Library. I had called her twice around 1992 or 1993 and she flat out told me that I had been blacklisted from law librarianship and that law librarians were a small group with very long memories. This law library employee probably had some contact with Barack Obama when he was a Law Professor to the U of Chicago but I doubt if the WESTLAW cataloger, Joe Biden and the other stuff ever came up in their probably extremely limited conversations. He was busy trying to launch his political career I would guess.

There is still an e-mail I had sent to Villanova back around 2002-2003 that is still up the last I looked. Again an e-mail to a Student Newspaper. I was e-mailing all of the Student Newspapers back in the 2000-2004 period along with just about every other media which had an e-mail address.

So Trump is right about some things with respect to the political establishment and how arm-in-arm some of them are with the media. There are exceptions though and Trump now seems to have become one of the swamp creatures and I see very little chance of change in the DC Beltway.

Libraries could play a critical role in making citizens less prone to being manipulated by either the media or by established politicians.

Past AALL Annual Meeting Locations (https://www.aallnet.org/conference/more/past-meetings/am-locations-past.html)

Remember trying to get a victims/survivors of crimes lecture at the AALL Convention in 2001 in Minneapolis at their Summer Convention and I could not find enough speakers for the requirements of the AALL Convention people. I did manage to rope a leader in the Mothers Against Drunken Driving movement. So, I had to throw in the towel but kept looking for jobs in libraries probably up through when we moved to the Villages in 2005. I did manage to anger Gene Coppola in the Summer of 2000 by not accepting his offer that the Palm Harbor Public Library would take 50% of anything he and his staff could help me with in the way of grants for library work. He had started his meeting with me with "I do not like whiners and liars." This was at our very first meeting and almost his first words out of his mouth. I had been volunteering at the Palm Harbor Library when I met Gene Coppola for about a month or so. He had stated about a week prior to this. The Palm Harbor Library Director before Coppola had been forced out for scolding an employee for taking a too long break and generally acting like a pervert watching adult movies in his office with the door open.

Coppola threatened me with a lawsuit in 2004, March 2 to be exact for my writing true e-mails to his staff about them no longer having a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory.

Victim Services Directory (http://myfloridalegal.com/directory)

Note I have been pushing this Directory since 2007 on TOTV. A Fort Myers Rape Crisis Center group had told me about it and their desire to see it in libraries. So I started writing all the public and law libraries in FL for them to get a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory.

Gary Corsair, a former Villages Daily Sun reporter, had done a Memorial Day 2007 article on me about my efforts to get the Florida Victim Services Directory connected to the Lake, Marion, and Sumter County Library Systems.

I can assure you I am not jealous, I am 100% listening to your every word.

FYI: I am very close to reporting your post in which you comment about the manager at the movie theater giving you a look for hanging with the teenage girls.

I have a daughter of my own and your obsessing over Ivanka, teenage girls, and some supposed female lawyer from Facebook has me concerned you might be dangerous towards women.

I feel odd behavior of that type (age 50+ guy bragging about teenage girls) should not be ignored, and I could not forgive myself if anything happened because I did not share my suspicions. I am sure you understand.

I have no problem with you putting me on an ignore list, but I will continue to monitor your posts for any more under age girl statements and will call the authorities promptly.

There is still an e-mail I had sent to Villanova back around 2002-2003 that is still up the last I looked. Again am e-mail to a Student Newspaper.

Hopefully getting this started again.

He had started his meeting with me with "I do not like whiners and liars." This was at our very first meeting an d almost his first words out of his mouth.

Some more of this story.

Trying to get this so others can see it without distractions.

Then what? NOTHING! For someone who claims to have completed law school, you know very little about the law as it pertains to libel. Perhaps, that's why you couldn't pass the Bar Exam.

I know it takes more and law librarians are not required to pass the Bar as they often move around a lot. You forgot to mention that I got a 251/260 on the MN Bar in 1991 and that was while I knew that my career in law librarianship was over-- or seemed that way-- because I wanted to be honest about my 15 years of experiences with the 2-24-1976 Michelle Mitchell murder investigation in the Spring/Summer of 1991 .

I am actually hoping to go for intentional infliction of emotional distress by the group of you ******** if you keep this **** up. Libelous statements would help. And do. Good luck with that. As you know, being awarded a judgement, should you prevail, and collecting on that judgement are two different things. Good luck with your law suit and the collection of any judgment awarded.:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I was at the one in Reno, Nevada in 1989. This was about six weeks after I graduated from the U of MN Law School in May of 1989. I was introduced as the cataloger of all the WESTLAW computer files.

Then I went to the AALL meeting in Minneapolis in 1990 and the one in New Orleans in 1991 as well as the one
in San Francisco in 1992. Could not afford to go to any of the others so I had to just use snail mail to write various people attending these conventions.

Trying to get back to why I posted these in the first place.

I had also requested Programs for the American Library Association meetings for years and wrote many of the presenters there about my concerns about practical information for survivors/victims of crimes within these libraries.

However, I only actually went to one of these in Dallas, Texas in 1984 with a group of MA library graduates and we stayed at the Texas Women's University just outside of Dallas in Denton.

Talked recently with a local librarian who used to work at the library when it was at Saddlebrook Rec Center where it was just a little room.

She said she was getting the old gang together.

Or, she is seeing people whom she used to see in the little room in the Recreation building.

I just want to say that most public librarians I have met are quite nice. Law librarians are a different story as many of these are lawyers who no longer wanted to deal with lawyering. And a lot of politics is very much involved with just who really gets access to what valuable information on how to deal with the legal system.

What is a 224 613? I asked around, and people tell me it's two pills. One opiate pill 224 to make you high, another 613 an allergy pill to stop the itching associated with the opiate.

I did know the meaning of 420 and pot, but, I did not realize there were so many pill poppers in the villages.

Learn something everyday. Must be the younger generation.

Sounds like Alice in Wonderland. One pill to make you big; the other to make you small.

The 224 613 Project is my effort based on my experiences dealing with the Michelle Mitchell 2-24-1976 murder in Reno, Nevada to get practical materials for survivors/victims of crimes into or accessible through libraries of all kinds. 613 is my number in a 17 week study on stress on the unemployed conducted by the University of California, SF Health Sciences campus in late 1992-1993. I had used these two numbers 224 and 613 from late 1992 onward to create an international dialog-- which is still going on-- about the practical needs of survivors of crimes. I am using contacts made over the last 41 years starting in Reno, Nevada to do this. Part of these contacts come from the institutions where in earned four degrees and had started work on getting two others. 2-24 is also my birthday.

The people I have tried to get involved include movie directors, news anchors, movie stars, victim/witness assistance providers, CEOs, politicians, writers, psychiatrists, social workers, physicians, nurses, Presidents, Vice-Presidents, First Ladies, lawyers, publishers, the FBI, Interpol, librarians, etc.

She was the daughter of my most important teacher Mrs. Barbara Mitchell at Earl Wooster High School in Reno, Nevada. The family gave me a small Memorial Scholarship in her name for the 1976-1977 Academic Year for college. I shared this with the late John Picollo. I never met Michelle though but John Picollo and others were questioned in her murder which took three years to "solve". But, they convicted the wrong person twice and she spent 35 years in a mental ward in Las Vegas because she had made a false confession to get a better room in a Louisiana jail. Rather messy. Cathy Woods is the falsely convicted woman. It turned out that Rodney Halbower had killed her probably. He was/is the San Mateo Slasher/Gypsy Hill killer of the San Francisco, CA area.

Ed Mitchell the father of Michelle and wife of Barbara Mitchell taught at a different Reno, Nevada High School. So many people were affected by this murder of Michelle Mitchell. The student bodies of two of Reno, Nevada's High Schools. And the crime scene was across the street from the University of Nevada, Reno where I got two BAs in Philosophy (December 1980) and History (1981).

This is very confusing. The "project" is about a victim you never met? And it's about libraries?

The project is about empowering survivors/victims of crimes through improving resources available through or in libraries of kinds. Take Sex Trafficking. There are certain words and such sometimes used by victims/survivors of this knowledge of these codes so to speak especially by social workers, teachers, nurses, librarians, pastors, etc. can help these people.

This is about education. And I got put into 14 Marquis Who's Who publications in the 1990s. Nominated to 24.

The sex trafficking knowledge is something a prison worker noticed and who is taking risks to educate others about things he noticed among sex trafficking victims/survivors. This was/is in 2016/2017 that he does this work.

Or, how news anchors stay with victims/survivors by focusing on their needs rather than just going on-and-on about the offender. I have been writing the media since late 1991.

There are thousands if not ten of thousands of people involved in this Project as I have been at this since around June 1991 but did not start using the numbers 224 613 until late 1992. Look for these numbers.

The librarians though are the people whose attitudes I wanted to change the most. Mostly law librarians in the 1990s.

I really cannot go into more detail on a site like Talk of the Villages. And especially not on its Political Forum where there are some very cruel and extremely juvenile posters.

Thanks. I do use my Ignore List quite a bit. I have a friend who lives here in the Villages and used to travel around the US fixing hospitals' computer systems. She advised me to stay out of the TOTV Political Forum because of the people who often are on here. Or lose my sanity. The last I looked I have not had any kind of nervous breakdown. Knock on wood. I have been pretty upset on occasion over the past six weeks however.

She sees my work on Facebook where the real action is and where I can just delete any posts I do not like on my Facebook page. Finally found some place where I have control of the message.

She could be lurking on here. I have met several lurkers on TOTV who like my work and some are from Minnesota. The Twin Cities play a very important role in my auto-biography because that is where I discovered just how deep the problem with dealing with survivors/victims of crimes is at our nation's law schools and their law libraries and among the people who work in them.

It is not libraries per say but educating people about the resources available through them. Now I would say it is more about what's available on the Internet but also could be by using some libraries' web pages. Also could be Sheriff's Offices web-pages.

I have often tried to get other Sheriffs' Office and public libraries to look at many other web-sites around the country to improve their own. I really like how this one gives Safety Tips-- Washoe County Sheriff's Office - Northern Nevada's Full Service Law Enforcement Agency (https://www.washoesheriff.com/staying-safe.php)

I have family members in Reno, Nevada as well as Las Vegas, Nevada so keep track of what is available for them.

I communicate with police organizations rather often even if these are usually very one sided. It is all about creating an on-going open dialog between victim/witness assistance providers and librarians of all kinds as well as with many other people. A lot of this is very creative crowd sourcing with the help of the many friends I have made since 1991. Our dog Amber whom I used to walk around the movie production trailers at the Red Lion Inn in Rohnert Park, CA hoping to visit with some of these movie people who were filming movies in Santa Rosa, Bodega Bay and points north. My parents lived 300 feet from where these movie production trailers were from 1986-1996. I visited while not at the U of MN Law School/Library or after I had to return home in November of 1991 after spending my savings on getting out about 500 letter to US State Governors, US Senators, US Representatives, Association leaders, Members of the US Supreme Court, Law School Deans, and many others. I did get maybe 60 responses. The start of what would become my 224 613 Project is in those sent and received letters including one from the Law Librarian of Congress, M. Kathleen Price.

What do you think I wanted to talk to these movie production people about? Avoiding the duck and goose poop on the golf course was one of these but the other was simply my life story dating from 2-25-1976. And there are very creative means of getting a story around.

Movie people do have e-mail addresses and Facebook pages now too.

What could you do? I suppose you could look at wherever you are from and that community's resources for survivors/victims of crimes. What kind of links does your old community libraries and Sheriff's Office have for instance?

Some community's resources for survivors/victims are quite good. Some not so much. And there seems to always be room for improvement even if some of the librarians I have met since the mid 1970s can be very territorial as can be web-masters or web-site designers.

Four degrees of work along with earning the money to get myself through these schools with some help from my family. I lived at home for instance while at the University of Nevada. Reno from 1976-1983. Got two BAs and started working on two MAs.

Then 26 years and counting of work on this Project. Started to see some respect for it from law librarians around 2000 but still hard to do it from outside the Law Librarianship profession even if I also do not have to deal with all the Academic Politics involved and all their committees, meetings and the like. They have committees to change light bulbs in the foyer.

And I did volunteer at two public libraries in Palm Harbor, FL., for 10-14 hours a week in 2000-2003. The Director Gene Coppola was a real jerk but did finally get around to actually putting stuff on his library-- Palm Harbor Library's-- website that will help victims/survivors of domestic violence. Had been trying to get my foot in the door for working in a library in a paid position but never got anywhere in the Tampa Bay area despite numerous job interviews many of these actually at libraries controlled by Gene Coppola.

All this is a hobby. Something I do out of love and a desire to help people who really need it. I did get the State of Nevada to forgive a stipend grant. In September 2000, they forgave a student loan debt for my MA from the U of Denver -- in the form of working in the State of Nevada as a Librarian-- for this work related to libraries even though I did it from Minnesota, California, Illinois and Florida in the 1990s.

A hobby like that is very honorable. May I ask what was your career was before retiring to the villages.

Currenting looking for volunteering opportunities in the villages.

I had wanted to be a law librarian but was blacklisted by the club I had found myself in at the University of Minnesota Law Library for fighting for survivors/victims of crimes based on my personal experiences. Basically they did not find it professional that I would base my criticisms on my own personal experiences. This was also very political.

Did you have to settle on a career other than the one you loved and were trained in?

That could be hard.

Well not exactly. I just did what I loved as a hobby and had to do other things like child care, art work, dog care, cat care, house cleaning, Senior care, garden care, business assistance, etc. I am not retired. Working on other stuff almost daily.

So, what you are saying in summary is that you spent a lot of other peoples' money, didn't pay it back and wasted your life as a career student. OK! But, you admit that you did all that toward a hobby. Hey isn't living in America GREAT! You have the freedom to be a total waste of oxygen and even brag about it. No offense meant. Just saying how great it is to be an American.

Just Ignore what the jerks might say on this thread. I just have put a group of these people on my Ignore List but they continue to post stuff against me even though I am trying to no longer even look at these. Not worth my time.

Oh. Take a close look at the movies Suicide Squad, Focus, Passengers, The Nice Guys, Deadpool and especially The Shallows. The Shallows (2016) - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_shallows/)

Love that movie The Shallows. She really conquers her fears of that Great White Shark. I got a very nice Private Message from a French actress with a black belt last summer on Facebook asked me in French if I would allow them to be part of my thing. I said yes in English. I did win the Outstanding Reader of French award at the University of Nevada, Reno around 1980 but that was 37 years or so ago. Had to look up the word she used for "thing" as I might have been slang from Paris.

The French actress has some movies coming out soon and knows some actors with connections to the Villages.

These celebrities do care about members of their movies, shows, concerts, sports' performance, etc. I remember sending an awful lot of Facebook messages to some ballet dancers in Rio last year. Where there's a way; there's a will.

Had a sister-in-law who grew up in Brazil. Pain in my ass in many classes at the University of Nevada, Reno but my older brother fell in love with her much to my surprise.

Tal, for an educated man, you just don't get it. This a political discussion forum, NOT Facebook where you chat with the other girls about your favorite movies and what the Hollywood movie stars are doing.
Put me on your "ignore list" but you really need to snap out of it. Everyone else wishes to coddle you because they treat you like a retarded child instead of the man you are supposed to be. Sorry, if I treat you like the adult you are supposed to be.

You do have to think way outside the box which is quite hard for some.

Really liked the first episode of the Third Season of Fargo even if I can only think of maybe 30 U of MN Law Students among the 1000 or so I met from 1986-1991 who talked like the movie Fargo stereotype of how Minnesotans talk. One of the responses I received from US Representatives in Congress back in 1991 when I was complaining about attitudes I found at the U of MN Law Library and School about respect for survivors/victims of crimes and those who wanted to help them.

The most disappointing response I got was from the then Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee that Cheshire Cat Senator Joe Biden.

They are on the Ignore List and I do peek once in a while but only to record what they post so that at some MUCH LATER date I can submit a police report to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office about cyberstalking and harassment. Nothing might happen from that but at least there will be a police report about these people if they pull the same stuff or have done similar stuff on other Forums. There are organizations with very long memories who really take offense against posters who harass and bully other posters on various web-sites. And it is no longer the free-for-all on most sites that it was in 1999 when I first started on the Internet. TOPIX is how it used to look but no one I believe takes anything written there seriously.

So, at some later date, I will be sending a long letter to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office if this harassment and bullying continues. This does not even belong on a third grade playground let alone on TOTV.

And I should be able to locate the organizations against cyberstalkers/cyberbullies quite easily and just maybe they have a record of these two but especially of AFFALD.

I too abhor bullying, to the point that I have no problems calling it out...when I see it happening.

However, the site owner has taken reasonable precautions by having everyone post as 'guest' (recognizing that a glitch allows the last 10 poster's user names to show)...to legally protect them.

Should that not be legally sufficient, and after posters down here having been warned that it is unmoderated, there's only two outcomes that I can see...should someone complain to the police.

1. Someone (more likely more than one) on staff will have to dedicate their time to moderate the Political Forum (kinda unlikely).

2. TOTV will shut the Political Forum down (most likely).

So, while I totally agree with you that you should not have to endure the nastiest, over-the-top personal attacks on you and would applaud the worst offenders toward you get banned...I'm not seeing that being likely as it stands now.

I'm not telling you what you should do by any means, but as someone who has always defended you (unlike your nasty, passive-aggressive, 'supposed' friend GG)...I'm simply giving you my opinion on what could happen.

And while having this forum shut down would NOT, IMHO, be your fault...not everyone would share my view.

So anyway, I just wanted to let you know...how I see it.

Take care. :)

Well. I see that point. That's why I have not done anything yet. The easiest thing to do would be for others to stick up against bullies like AFFALD and DIRTBANKER. Either also put them on your Ignore List so I do not have to see anyone Quoting them or fight back against these type of personal attacks. Call them out on their hatred.

I would probably go to the Moderator before going to the police. I move very slowly with this kind of stuff as there are many people usually involved but I do move.

Going back to my original post.

A face card of a post card dated 6-06-1996 I got from famed defense lawyer Gerry Spence. The other side says something like "Keep It Up, Jon!" Which I have writing many others like lawyers; librarians; victim/witness assistance providers; State Attorney Generals; First Ladies like Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton; writers like Tom Clancy; movie stars like Jim Carrey and Tom Cruise along with hundreds of others; movie studio executives; CEOs, comedians like those at Saturday Night Live and many many others.

So I can record this post by AFFALD.

Still on Ignore List just want to make a record for cyberstalking & cyber harassing organizations. And eventually probably to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office for internet harassment.

Speaking of the U of Denver and their MA in Librarianship, I hung out with an Iraqi from the U of Mosul in Iraq for much of the 1983-1984 year. We grew quite far apart because of how radicalized he became after he moved back to Mosul. He was working there a few years ago I believe but am not sure. Have no idea what happened with the U of Mosul Library. I had been a pen pal of his for a few years before he started hating all things from the US. He also had a brother high up in Hussein's army. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Mosul

When I was ten years old, I was born on June 23, 1965, our dog ran away on August 4, 1975...his name was Willie. My sister, her name was Nancy, cried day and night for almost a week, from August 4-11, 1975.

My friends, Billy Thompson, Paul Smith, Fred Black and I looked everywhere for the lost pup, but Willie could not be found.

After a week of searching our family, Robert, Mary, Steven, Nancy, Larry, John, Jacob, and I had given up all hope. Late on the evening of the seventh day, August 11, 1975, we received a call from Helen Gallow, the local law librarian who had been serving our community, Pittsburg, CA, for 28 years, 2 month and 4 days at the time.

She said that she had found Willie sitting on the steps of the local law library just peering through the window. We were all overjoyed and could not wait to welcome Willie (and Helen) into our waiting and open arms.

That was one of the happiest days of my life.

Legal Research (https://www.unr.edu/criminal-justice/research/legal-research)

The National Judicial College's Law Library was the first law library I went into but it was really only open to judges. My Philosophy Professor's wife ran it. This was at the University of Nevada, Reno. Department of Philosophy | University of Nevada, Reno (http://www.unr.edu/philosophy/6-faculty.html)

Had a big crush on a woman who worked there as a student library assistant. She is now a lawyer in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I would often run into these judges looking books in the UNR Book Store.

I met a lot of law librarians from 1988 or so at SUNY at Buffalo's Law Library as well as at the U of MN Law Library and before that at the U of Denver Law Library and BYU Law Library. And Melanie a worker at the National Judicial College who was in some of my English courses at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Then the law librarian conventions in Reno, Minneapolis, New Orleans, and San Francisco and job interviews at the Kansas Supreme Court, the Washoe Couny Law Library and North Carolina Central University.

There are good and bad law librarians as far as ethics as well as skills are concerned.

I hope you enjoyed your times with Helen Gallow.

I had sent a few e-mails about my experiences with the legal system to the Sumter County Clerk of Court when I was Summoned for Jury Duty back in April of 2014 and showed up for Jury Duty around May 19, 2014.

The Judge dismissed us as the defendant had been talked into accepting a guilty plea and saving according to this Judge a 16 week trial. I probably would have been booted as soon as I started talking about ,y experiences with law librarians and it is very hard for me not to get emotional when telling these facts.

In 2009, at the Federal Court in Ocala for Jury Duty, the Judge has challenged me because he seemed to think I was not giving the truth and everything but the truth in my responses to questions. How can anyone put a lifetime of experiences into a pithy sentence?

What's in your law library? My interactions with the U of Florida Law Library staff have been good over the years. What there has been of them anyway.

My 224 613 Project is about people in their own communities looking how good their practical needs are being met. Especially victims/survivors of crimes of all kinds. This will vary from community-to-community.

Movies have played an important part in my 224 613 Project since there were two men behind me and my mother at the Petaluma Theater in Northern CA around March 12, 1995 and one of him asked me "Did you see that?" when the number 612 showed up in the scene in Outbreak when a woman's blood was being tested. That really got me interested especially since this movie had been filmed in the area and movie production trailers from it had been about 300 feet out or back door where they had been at the Red Lion Inn in Rohnert Park, CA. Outbreak (1995) - IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114069/)

This has also given me more ideas about whom to contact using my status as the cataloger of all the computer files on WESTLAW for a national project. I had done that while in the employ of the U of MN Law Library while a woman was doing LEXIS at the SUNY at Buffalo Law School Library.

Such fun too with Facebook to with this where I have been since around 2010 spreading the message.

Part of the binder that they gave me at the University of California, San Francisco Health Sciences Campus in late 1992 when I started in their study on stress on the unemployed. I had four taped interviews with Myra Young and had my blood drawn four times as well. This was about a 1.15 hour drive down from Rohnert Park, CA where we lived bordering the golf course and about 300 feet from the Red Lion Inn which was across the green from us.

Ms. Young looked at the maybe score of letters received I sent each time but waited until the very end of the study after our last interview to tell me that had a very good cause and that she wished me well.

I started using the number 613 in late 1992 in my letters to lawyers, victim/assistance providers, movie studio executives, CEOS but not Donald Trump that I can remember, social workers, victimologists, psychologists, writers, comedians, dancers, musicians, librarians, scholars, law school deans, etc. A great deal of work in fact and extremely stressful. I had been using 224 since early 1991.

I did sent them a few more letters after I had quit the study via snail mail but did not see much point of sending them more after that but have been communicating with many public health programs in various universities since then on Facebook and through other means.

It must be stressful having 17 degrees and never being capable of employment. I am sure every professor just passed you to shut you up. There is zero chance you ever contributed anything to the classroom setting except chaos.

Of course now that your parents are older you can say that you live with them to take care of them.

No one believes that.

Sad.

Was excited to get this letter. It was not from whom I had written in the first place. I had written the Librarian of Congress James H. Billington - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_H._Billington) but heard back from the Law Librarian of Congress. Law Library of Congress - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_Library_of_Congress) Jane Sanchez Named New Law Librarian of Congress | LJ INFOdocket (http://www.infodocket.com/2017/02/01/jane-sanchez-named-new-law-librarian-of-congress/)

So glad that they now have a real librarian working as the Librarian of Congress.

I have a classmate from the U of Denver who now works at the Library of Congress.

And the 2nd.

I am still feeling pretty good with the prospects of my massive 26 year 224 613 Project to empower survivors/victims of crimes through access to practical information available through or in libraries of all kinds. Gary Corsair, a Villages Daily Sun reporter, did a story on my efforts connected to the Lake, Sumter and Marion County public libraries which appeared on Memorial Day in 2007. I would often run into his dog Boo Radley along with his wife at one of the local dog parks and she was always friendly. Corsair did a little research on me back on that Memorial Day weekend and wanted to see my records on my work up to then in 2007. I said "No" as I had just met him a few minutes before. He was just walking in my neighborhood looking for a story to write which did get my hackles up.

I have used copies of that Memorial Day 2007 article to try to get people to dialog about the practical needs of survivors/victims of crimes with respect to libraries of all kinds in every state of the United States. And this does involve power of these survivors/victims within the legal system and also out of it.

Many of my real Villages' area friends complemented me on that Memorial Day article. Mr. Corsair got a few of the facts wrong though.

This is very much related to politics though and the policies of the current Senate, House and the US President. Especially related to library funding and how they treat survivors/victims of crimes.

Would a church be a more logical place for survivors/victims of crimes to look for access to practical information about the rights and services available to them. Note I have been pushing this Directory since 2007 on TOTV. A Fort Myers Rape Crisis Center group had told me about it and their desire to see it in libraries. So I started writing all the public and law libraries in FL for them to get a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory.

For anyone who forgot who Michelle Mitchell was she was the daughter of my favorite English teacher Mrs. Barbara Mitchell at Earl Wooster High School in Reno, Nevada in the 1975-1976 academic year. Her father was a teacher at a different high School in Reno. They lived at the other edge of Reno on the far north side. I was on the far south.

John Picollo was another student in the Mitchell English class. He knew her from visits to the Michelle house for some reason.

I was busy taking correspondence courses through a third Reno High School so that I could get through high school in three years.

On 2-24-1976 (my birthday is 2-24) Ms. Michelle Mitchell a 19 year old nursing student was killed in a garage close to the U of Nevada- Reno campus a few doors down where from my older brother lived. He remembered hearing all the sirens and wondering what was going on that night of my birthday.

On Wednesday 2-25-1976 our class got the news that we would be getting a substitute because of the murder of Michelle Mitchell.

John Picollo was one of the people questioned in the murder as were some of the other people who had met Michelle Mitchell.

I had done a drawing of a picture of a woman in a magazine. During my Spring 1976 Art Show at Wooster High School, Mrs. Mitchell had seen that drawing and told me how much it reminded her of her daughter.

She had not returned to work for quite some time but was teaching a few months after the murder of her daughter which would go unsolved until 1979.

The Mitchells gave me and John Picollo the Michelle Mitchell Memorial Scholarship. Maybe $200 a Semester for the 1976-1977 Academic Year. This Scholarship stayed on my resume for decades.

I gave the drawing of the woman who reminded Mrs. Mitchell to the family when I drove to their house across town to thank all of them for the Michelle Mitchell Memorial Scholarship and told them that I was thinking of becoming a doctor.

I started volunteering at the Veteran's Hospital in 1977 through 1978 in Reno, Nevada to see if I enjoyed working around patients. The nurses learned I could draw and soon I was taking home photos of the patients at the intensive care wing to try to capture their likenesses. As soon as these were OKed by the patients the nurses put these drawings outside their rooms and the nurses hired an Art Major from the University of Nevada, Reno to continue these art works after I quit volunteering in 1978 as I had decided that I could not handle the deaths of the patients all that well. And I had trouble with some of the chemistry and calculus.

Started studying Philosophy and History instead with an eye to maybe going to law school if my grades were good enough.

I stayed in contact of sorts with the Mitchells through letters and by meeting Wooster students at the University of Nevada, Reno or through my younger brother who also had Mrs. Barbara Mitchell for English about four years after me.

One of the prosecutors of the woman eventually seen as the murderer of Michelle Mitchell, Cathy Woods, was a bridge partner of my parents, Mills Lane. I would get phone calls from Mills Lane too in my 224 613 Project with respect to strategy. These probably went on until 1996 or so.

It turned out that Cathy Woods had been railroaded by cops and prosecutors looking to get closure for the people involved. Woods was a paranoid schizophrenic who had confessed falsely to the murder of Michelle Mitchell to get a better room in a prison in Louisiana. It looks like she was fed inside information to make the prosecution easier. That's just going on the press coming out in 2014-2016.

I knew Mrs. Barbara Mitchell quite well. And no I never met Michelle Mitchell. I did meet the rest of her immediate family.

I talked about the trials, appeals, etc of Cathy Woods and people supposedly connected to her with students from Wooster High School whom I would run into all over Reno, Sparks.

My parents moved from Reno, Nevada in 1984 to Scottsdale, AZ but my late younger brother stayed there until 1990 or so.

I have family still in Reno, Nevada and went to Reno, Nevada about six weeks after graduating from the U of MN Law School where Gail Daly introduced me to the American Association of Law Libraries Summer Convention people as the cataloger of all the computer files on WESTLAW for a national project working in conjunction with SUNY at Buffalo where they were doing the LEXIS cataloging.

Please ignore the trolls on here. They are harassers and bullies of the worst sort.

This is one of the drawings of patients in the intensive care wing of the Veterans' Hospital in Reno, Nevada I did around 1978.

I tried ink rather my regular pencil with a different look. He wanted something more traditional like my other sketches of these patients. So, he gave this back to me and I did a new one which he did like.

This was a Vietnam War veteran who got in a stupid accident by imitating a walrus with a pool stick in his nose. Some ******* bumped him and the point of the stick went up into his brain. He did have some problems doing stuff. Mostly I read letters to these patients, played games, spoon fed those who were too far gone to feed themselves, etc. Helped the nurses any way I could. I would often just watch the patients to see if they needed anything when we were in the main community room and call the nurses if they were needed.

The psychiatric wing was across the hall from intensive care but you needed clearance to get into that wing like a pass card.

Kate told me that I was too nice to handle the ugliness you often see on the TOTV Political Forum. She thought it might drive me insane but that last I looked I still have some of my sanity. Knock on wood. I must say that some of the toxic trolls on here do really get to me. You sometimes cannot understand why some people seem to have no empathy at all for others.

My older brother, me and my late younger brother around 1972. Drawn by me about six years ago. Had moved from the Milwaukee area in 1970 to Reno, Nevada. So the picture I was drawing from was when we lived in Reno.

Have not been back to Wisconsin since visited my grandmother and my then live-in girlfriend Jennifer's best friend Sandy's parents' farm in the center of Wisconsin. Have been e-mailing a nice lady I met in the Villages who had to go back to Madison area to be with her daughter.

I would run into this woman, Patricia, often at the Lady Lake Public Library and we would talk about books she might like to read.

What's in your library? Does it have links to materials that would help survivors/victims of crimes like the Florida Victim Services Directory. Victim Services Directory (http://myfloridalegal.com/directory)

I had an invitation to a radio talk show put out by a Chicago lawyer back around this time but was not sure I could handle all the baggage I carry and stay unemotional. I can do it when helping people in a law library, public library and certainly online or representing prisoners or supervising law students work aiding inmates or former inmates. Also I need people to actually see the documents I talk about as even though I received them still have a hard time believing that they are real.

Can we say 2012 Presidential election? What happened at that U of Denver debate to pull the wind out of the sails of President Barack Obama? Presidential debate captivates University of Denver campus | Election2012 News for College Students | USA TODAY College (http://college.usatoday.com/2012/10/04/presidential-debate-captivates-university-of-denver-campus/) In 2011, a student newspaper The Justice from Brandeis University had re-published in e-mail that I had sent them around 2003. I have a MA in Librarianship and Information Management from the U of Denver awarded in May of 1984. And prior to that I had had been at the BYU Law School on a Merit Scholarship. I was only there about ten days in 1982.

What do you think would have happened say if Donald John Trump had gotten a hold of the letter from the Honorable Senator Joe Biden above? I sat on it until a few years ago. Mainly because I do not trust the advocate-in-chief Donald John Trump of the ridiculous birther movement to stick to the facts and do right by the people involved. And Obama would have also had a contact to the blacklist on me from the Law Librarianship profession through the University of Chicago where the woman who told me I would not work in law librarianship again was now (around 1992-1993 and afterwards) working at the University of Chicago Law Library? I doubt if Obama though had much of any contact with this law librarian and doubt if the WESTLAW cataloger ever came up.

I have had to wait until Joe Biden was no longer Vice President of the US though to really try to bring this to light. All of this is very much involved with politics in the United States.

And I was thinking seriously of voting for Romney/Ryan up to when President Barack Obama got his grove back with the handling the Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. I have never liked Biden since getting that letter above. Things would have been much different for survivors/victims of crimes if Chairman of the Judiciary Committee Joe Biden in the Fall of 1991 had stepped up to the plate. Senator Orrin Hatch eventually did a few years after this.

1910 views now of stuff on my 224 613 Project. This is only an extremely small number of items in my stash of received and sent snail mail letters. I have hundreds of thousands of e-mails out there which show up once in a while when someone wants to use them for whatever reason. And then there are the thousands of Facebook entries and before that all the Findlaw stuff.

Lots and lots of stamps.

1986 views now of this thread. Please ignore the twit trolls on here. I rarely even look at their bullying and harassment. Their posts are often completely irrelevant to anything on here.

1986 is when I helped my parents move from Scottsdale, AZ to Rohnert Park, CA; quit my job at Ziff Davis's Information Access Company Ziff Davis; - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ziff_Davis;) and started law school at the University of Minnesota Law School after finding a small section of a house as an apartment near Dinkytown in Minneapolis very close to the U of Minnesota.

The above picture is the official photo of the Graduating Class at the University of Minnesota Law School for the Class of 1989.

History of Information Access Company – FundingUniverse (http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/information-access-company-history/)

Where I worked from 1984-1986.

Almost anyone who used a public library or a college/university library would be familiar with the various products of Information Access Company.

I worked under a very nice man named Robert Lee in the Area Business Databank Group where we indexed and abstracted regional business magazines as well as general newspapers and other magazines.

I raided the Legal Resource Index Group's refuse pile for items about Victimology and Law Reviews on articles on survivors/victims of crimes materials. I wound up writing all the scholars in one of these volumes around the world about my ideas about practical information for survivors/victims of crimes. Received many very honest answers.

I do not know what happened with magazines like The Sporting News Sporting News - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sporting_News) and those issues when we no longer needed them for indexing. I suppose they went home with the managers who had been there the longest.

I probably did index and abstract some NY based business magazines about the real estate developments of Donald John Trump. Donald Trump - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump)

I hope people see why this is relevant to people now who might be survivors/victims of crimes anywhere in the US as well as in many other countries.

This is about self-empowerment through access to practical information through library web-sites, sheriff's offices, and by going into a law, academic, public, special, or some other kind of library.

I had just met Gary Corsair that 2007 Memorial Day weekend Friday or Saturday. He chatted up my mom while she was weeding in our yard and told him about my 224 613 Project as something he may want to write about.

He probably thought I was a little nuts but after a little while asked me to see my files. I said "No" as I do not just warm up to some Joe or Jill off the street especially if they want to tell my story when I am perfectly capable of doing that at the right time.

He did seem to be doing a lot of articles about Big Foot and Basketball in the Villages after that. And I would run into the Villages Daily Sun photographer George H., who took my and my dog Sport's picture for that May 31, 2007 article.

2049 views now of stuff on my 224 613 Project thread. That's my 26 years of struggle trying to get better materials for survivors/victims of crimes accessible through or in libraries of all kinds. I based the need for me to do this on my personal experiences looking for stuff to help my fellow Earl Wooster High School students deal with the 2-24-1976 murder of Michelle Mitchell, the daughter of English teacher Barbara Mitchell. 2-24 is also my birthday and the Mitchell family had given me and the late John Picollo a small Memorial Scholarship in her name. I had earned four degrees hoping to work from within the law librarianship profession but was kicked out of it when I based my criticisms of library holdings on my personal experiences rather than theoretical considerations of academia and bureaucracy.

I had mentioned some of this in a few e-mails to the Sumter County Clerk of Court Gloria Hayward when I was set for the Jury Duty pool for a case scheduled for May 19, 2014.

The criminal defendant plead guilty while we waited for what seemed like a few hours. The Judge said it saved the court 16 weeks of a trial.

What does party affiliation have to do with it? Everyone treats this irritant like he is some sort of emotionally inhibited child (did I say that PC?) with hands off of him.

Democrat or Republican has nothing to do with this.

Libraries and survivors/victims of crimes and other stuff.

I would have used this letter and many like to to gain international support for my 224 613 Project by copying these, reducing them in size, and then recopying them and sending them to news anchors, writers, comedians, musicians, dancers, movie studio executives, movie stars, lawyers, librarians, victim/witness assistance providers, scholars, law professors, law school deans, and anyone else I could think of who might be in a position to help.

I wrote 4000 of these victim/witness assistance providers in the 1990s via snail mail often sharing with them letters like this one as well as doing the same with politicians, lawyers, librarians. writers, social workers, psychiatrists, comedians, dancers, athletes, NFL Commissioners, NBA Commissioners, physicians, victimologists, movie studio executives, CEOs like those of Publix, law school deans, teachers, nurses' associations, public health graduate schools and their professors like Harvard's , etc.

Then I started sharing these via e-mails and on Findlaw but picked up a particularly nasty but extremely clever troll on Findlaw from 2002-2006. Tried TOTV a bit in 2007 but seemed to not get anywhere and then switched to Facebook around 2010 but had to take my time because of family problems. And now back to TOTV but to the Political Forum.

Myra Young and her companions at the UCSF Health Sciences Campus in late 1992-1993 over the 17 weeks I was in a study on stress on the unemployed as subject #613 would have seen this letter from the Austin TX Police Department as well as the one from Carol H. Rasco the Domestic Policy Advisor for the Clinton Health Care Task Force.

Who cares if I have a dog or not? What relevance does this have to what is in Lake, Marion and Sumter County libraries with respect to helping survivors/victims of crimes in May of 2017?

2254 views now of stuff on my 224 613 Project. This is very relevant to what you can see from your local library and sheriff's web-sites that would be helpful to someone thinking of reporting a crime or is in some other situation where this person needs useful information.

The big point I am trying to make is that and my hundreds of thousands of like minded correspondents over the past 26 years have pestered librarians about the need of practical information for survivors/victims of crimes. Some communities offer many avenues to useful information, others maybe too many and confuse people, and some still have way too few.

This was a response to my many e-mails to US State Attorney General Offices about the Florida Victim Services Directory. Came by letter. Unfortunately I do not have that many copies of e-mails that I sent to these government officials as I had sent so many of them back in the period from 1999-2006 and had also tried to share this with authorities in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and some other countries. :BigApplause:

This is also when I would have been volunteering at the Palm Harbor and probably the East Lake Community Library for about 10-14 hours per week. Both of these libraries were under the thumb of Gene Coppola. Coppola wanted 50% of my Project within 5 minutes or so of when I first met him around July of 2000. I said "No"! and that kind of ended what was never going to be much of a friendship. He started out our interview with "I do not like liars and whiners" and promptly proofed that is what he is. I still tried to get along with this jerk.

Another letter out of NYC or New York State. This is from the Victim Services of that great city. This is work on my part as it took many letters and/or e-mails often to get a response. Sometimes not that many though.

How can you help with this massive 224 613 Project? What is in your home town's libraries and Sheriff's Offices that might aid survivors/victims of crimes looking for practical information to deal with the legal system, their mental health, finances, spiritual life, etc.

What is a community that has very good links in their libraries and sheriffs' offices for survivors/victims of crimes?

Washoe County Sheriff's Office - Northern Nevada's Full Service Law Enforcement Agency (https://www.washoesheriff.com/staying-safe.php) My former home town Sheriff's Office-- Reno, Nevada in Washoe County-- seems to have quite a few helpful links.

2348 views now of stuff in my 26 year 224 613 Project.

This has taken a huge amount of sacrifice and time/money on me and my family's part getting hundreds of thousands of snail mail, e-mails, Findlaw posts, Facebook posts and a few phone calls. And attendance at four American Association of Law Libraries conventions from Reno's in 1989 through the one in San Francisco in 1992.

AALL (https://www.aallnet.org/)

And so many TOTV posts about the 224 613 Project that people on here are thoroughly bored with it. Even with all the help I now seem to be getting with it from people in New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, San Francisco, Paris, London, and other places.

2361 views now of items on my 224 613 thread. This is 26 years of very hard but pro bono work involving a lot of stress to myself, my friends and my family while also often trying to find gainful employment of someone with four degrees. Volunteered at Palm Harbor Library and East Lake Community Library for 10-14 hours per week from roughly September 2000 through maybe June 2003. These were both public libraries in Palm Harbor under the control of Gene Coppola.

What can you do for your community? What do their libraries have in the way of practical materials for survivors/victims of crimes as well as those dealing with mental illness who are more likely to be victims of crimes than its perpetrators?

Check out the movie Hidden Figures about a library and a church.

My former lover/roommate's best friend Sandy H., during my full time working period-- or some of it-- at the U of MN Law Library was a NASA Computer Program based at Cape Canaveral. She is retired now driving a fancy mobile home around the country. While my ex-girlfriend Jennifer V., is an important person in getting people access to the Nebraska Court System.

Ignore the tool trolls on here. There are a lot of establishment type people who want survivors/victims to be in relative darkness as to the rights and services available to them. Just what a community can do for survivors/victims was demonstrated by the Pulse shooting survivors/victims in Orlando. It does take a lot more work though from community officials to deal with activist survivors/victims of crimes.

The State of Nevada Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education (WICHE) had a hearing that covered my Stipend Grant for the money they gave me to attend the quite expensive "Harvard of the West" University of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management. I graduated with a MA in May of 1984. This was in September 2000 and they found that my work for survivors/victims of crimes from MN, IL, CA, and FL would count formy professional work in librarianship in the State of Nevada. Ron Sparks, II was my contact at WICHE.

I probably sent them copies of letters like this one and many many other documents in my 224 613 Project.

I sent many of these same letters to the ObamaCare people in 2014 in KY because I could not afford the payments they required for Health Insurance. All I got from the ObamaCare people was a bureaucratic run around. I could have been talking to them from Mars for all the empathy they showed my situation.

Bureaucrats and simple-minded people who sees things in black-and-white have been a huge problem with my 224 613 Project. Artists, actors, musicians, physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, teachers, nurses and others have helped me out quite a bit more of these 26 years.
