Things don't look promising for the non-hitting New York Yankees with Verlander coming up next but that's why they play the game.

If it was played on paper, the Yankees would win every year.

I've always said that money will not buy championships but you can guarantee you will make the playoffs. It's pretty frustrating to see them struggle at the plate.

There is a boatload of money leaving the shores of Swisherland and Grandersonland as they are invisible in the playoffs and I'm sure that will factor into their free agency contracts.

Being a die-hard Yankee fan, it is obviously very hard to see what is happening. And although it looks VERY dim,
remember one thing - they are still:

THE NEW YORK YANKEES !

My cousin, who plays poker in Vegas a lot, say "All you need is a Chip and a Chair to be in the game!"

Then again he's never played against Verlander.

I would love to but i do not live there yet. Was supposed to up there this past week for a lifestyle visit but had to cancel. Will be coming up in January though. Currently reside near Ft. Lauderdale.

If the Yankee bats wake-up and find a way to beat Verlander, then CC starts game 4 and probably wins evening the series.

I just thought of looking at this game positively.

Read this article about Yanks vs Verlander this year. Tex says they like facing a familar pitcher, even a Cy Young winner, as opposed to someone new. Good perspective here.
