Do yourself an even bigger favor and avoid the price increases from Dish. Get YouTube TV and stream your tv. You will thank me and pay a fraction of your current costs for better quality.

Cable AND Sat providers are increasing their fees. I got tired of it and ditched Comcast and haven't looked back. I even changed my Internet provider because now I have the guarantee that my monthly cost will never go up. We stream using a Roku stick and the picture is fantastic. If you want just local channels, it is free. LoCast takes your location and streams ALL the local broadcast channels to you free. Of course, we enjoy recording stuff to watch later so that we can fast forward thru the commercials so we pay (too much) for YoutubeTV. We also have Netflix. But, adding up all that we still pay less than we did before. There are tons of free stuff when you stream. Comcast kept trying to get us to come back, promising great services for a reduced price. When I asked how much more would it be for all the extra taxes and fees, they added about 13 fees and taxes. I told them that they should be honest and give us the total price up front, instead of hiding it.

But what are you using for internet? And how much is that ? I tried to leave comcast but centurylink speed didn’t cut it. So got Comcast internet only, which was great till they raised the rate . When i complained they gave me “basic” tv and internet for less. It has crept up again.... and for some reason, basic tv affected some of my streaming..??

Every time it rains you lose coverage. We rented a place with Direct TV. I hated it. You get what you pay for so just remember you lose coverage when it rains. They say it doesn't happen anymore on their ads but it does. We experienced it from April to mid July 2020.

Trust me, you will not be happy with Dish. Call Comcast/Xfinity and let them know you are unhappy with your bill. I did and was able to save $40 a month. They are competing with all the streaming services which are popping up and they want happy customers.

I have Comcast and wouldn’t switch. My friend has the dish and when a storm is in the area he can’t watch tv.

I have been holding off getting any internet service while waiting for Starlink to shoot more satellites up and make TV available.

Unfortunately, there's no 100% in anything.

Even heaven ain't perfect; it isn't air-conditioned.

Like I said, I left Comcast because they kept increasing the price. Same with their Internet only. I now have Centurylink at a set price forever. Of course, I am one of the lucky ones that are paying for fiber optic which gives pretty fast speed, even though I believe it is a bit throttled down. I have measure it at over 600+mbps, even though they advertise "up to" 940mbps. They also have a lower price service (permanent) that gives you a slower but comparable to comcast. My Internet price is the same every month, with NO added fees.
