I had an gas grill in our lanai. I glassed in the lanai just as codes changed and the gas grill was then out of code. I pulled out the gas grill and, since I had a hole, I installed an electric fireplace. I used it once or twice a couple of years ago. For me it was only a way to fill the hole. Otherwise it is a waste of money. Really, a fireplace in Florida? What was wonderful in Indiana seems like a useless affectation here.
